I get that Eververse is the way Destiny 2 makes money, but the fact of the matter is that Eververse isn't very consumer friendly. Selling whole armor sets, rather than individual pieces, is great for whales, but not so great for minnows. I'd buy a lot more cosmetics if I could buy them individually. I'm tired of buying a whole Eververse set just for the gloves or the helmet; when a purchase comes with something I don't want, I'm way more reluctant to buy. If I could buy individual pieces, just the pieces that I want, I'd probably buy a lot more. Hell, Bungie could even charge a small premium for individual pieces and make the bundle look like a discount by comparison, I'd spend more, Bungie would get more. I understand Bungie's monetization policy, and it makes sense on paper, you want to aim for the biggest sale possible, but I very rarely participate in that system, the prices are just too steep for me. I'd be much more comfortable spending 350 silver on a single piece I know I'll like and use, than I am comfortable spending 1,500 silver on a full set and ignoring 4/5ths of what I bought. Sell individual pieces for a small premium, make the complete set look like a discount, the whales get what they want, and the minnows can afford to participate in the system. Also let us try on shaders in Eververse, I've been burned too many times before. That's another reason I'm reluctant to spend, I don't always know what I'm going to get. I know everyone's preference would probably be that Eververse just goes away, but since that's not going to happen, we might as well talk about possible improvements to the system. The bundles can still exist, even at the same price, but there are more consumer friendly, and ironically enough, producer friendly ways to sell the items. Let me buy just the gloves I want, without having to purchase the rest of the set which I'll never use. Let us buy the set as individual pieces, and let us try on shaders in Eververse. There are more profitable ways to target the whales and the minnows alike, there are ways that everyone can get something they want.
