- responding to dmg04’s tweet to share which technology is experiencing this issue of dysfunctional frame rates
Game ran amazing on my brand new computer I got to play eof, post update, frame counter displays same numbers but movement visuals became so choppy that it was unplayable.
For clarity; this is not just on Kepler, it is the entire game, and especially noticeable chop during PvP
Removal of exclusive fullscreen IS THE CULPRIT
I am quite disappointed that bungie has yet to acknowledge this problem as it has made the game unplayable for many who’s pc doesn’t seem to recognize the new ‘windowed fullscreen’
Bungie we need some response on this issue. The fact that this passed quality assurance is disturbing.
I’ve reset my bios, updated and rolled back my driver, installed and uninstalled graphics card, I’ve done every possible troubleshooting step over hours and hours of trying to fix this
I’ve had to play the campaign on my laptop because the choppy frame time and stuttering on my desktop bc (brand new this month btw) is literally so upsetting to look at that my old 3060 laptop looks better.
Please respect your player base by showing this issue some voice bungie. This is typically the most upvoted pc issue In your help forums and there’s still no mention by bungie of this completely game ruining issue for those who are experiencing it.

I'm not sure if what I'm experiencing is 100% similar, but I've also been receiving weird hitching ever since the EoF update. Nothing severe compared to others who have reported extreme stutters and 50+ fps drops, but I am consistently getting frametime hiccups every few seconds. This is actually an issue that has popped up here and there in previous seasons. Black Armory was one and the most prominent was during the launch of Beyond Light. Fps would be steady until you'd see the fps counter in the corner drop 1-2 frames and cause this annoying hitch. Standing still, moving and looking around, it would always happen no matter what. It wasn't until a later update that this was rectified. Nothing on my end or others fixed it. Prior to EoF I had 0 issues. No frame drops or stutter. Feels like history repeating itself and I do feel like the loss of native fullscreen could be a reason why.
