I would like to thank you for your latest iteration of grindfest. ESO has had WEAPON AND ARMOR crafting in the game since day 1. Fallout 76 also has had weapons and armor crafting in the game since launch. Both games have worked to IMPROVE this system over time.
Now enter Destiny. You brought in weapon crafting. But you can't set up weapons exactly how you want. It's based off a PROFILE someone deems appropriate for that weapon.
Then it's decided that this is no longer going to be available for anything other than exotics. So you removed combinations from weapons that were available from the mission. Sad when I use the one I got from the mission vs. one I crafted because I preferred those traits.
Now, let's talk about this new system. I have to GRIND for a gun with traits I want, THEN hope I get a weapon that is enhanced.
I don't have the time for this GAME to be a second job.
Plus side, you have my money so there is no reason for you to care.
Down side, you lost a player who has been playing this series since the demo for Destiny 1

Yeah, I have no idea why businesses think it makes sense to throw away guaranteed old sales for potential new ones.

It’s true. I just don’t have time for this game… and every single one of my friends stopped playing because of the insane grind required. I’d play PvP but I feel like im at a disadvantage for not having 150-200 weapons stat. I thought these changes were going to be awesome but they’re just making everyone feel hopeless and give up.

Im so glad I waited for the reviews before deciding not to buy. Sucks to see the community still getting burned time and time again. Bungie truly wont put in any effort to make the game better till the community makes a decision which will affect Bungie’s money. We really repaid for ALOT of content we once had. The plaguelands returning, content we already bought. The effort is gone therefore the soul of Destiny is gone. Just sucks cause Destiny had an unlimited amount of potential and it was flushed down the drain. All we wanted was for the game to be better. But aye, nothing lasts forever I guess.

so u played the demo for D1? good for ya, whaddya want, a medal? no medals will be rewarded. but at least we know that the "love" relationship most ppl had with destiny has turned into a "love/hate relationship where I have to point out every flaw the game has to describe how much I hate it" not to glaze the game or anything, but I've read way too many things about bad stuff bungie added or did to the game, so I'm kinda bored of those yk here, I'll say something positive about the game....hmm...I like that nerdy guy with glasses they added in the dlc! idk if he's gay or something, becuz I ain't buying the dlc to discover, but I like him!

Good god, people are seemingly obsessed with hating on Bungie with anything they'll do.
-
All things considered, Destiny is now the worst it's ever been.

Here come all the riders who only recently started playing to tell you that they don't care

Have fun playing other games. Just make sure you actually stop.

Edited by Ulzana: 7/26/2025 6:07:27 PMESO has had WEAPON AND ARMOR crafting in the game since day 1. Fallout 76 also has had weapons and armor crafting in the game since launch. Both games have worked to IMPROVE this system over time. Difference is, those games aren't all about grinding. When I play F76, sure I'm looking out for better loot to drop. That's not the whole game the way it is with D2 after finishing campaign missions. I'm sure not worried about my level now that I'm over 300 on one of my guys. Thankfully, I don't need an endless grind to keep me playing. It's simply, "I'm having fun". I could spend a year doing nothing but building up my CAMPs. And there's a huge wonderful open world to explore - that keeps getting bigger. No locations sunset. FPS gunplay isn't as good as D2's but we do have VATS. The sad truth is that Bungie never bothered to build a world in D2 good for anything other than a never ending grind. Even in D1, you could at least always play the campaign missions for the nostalgia.

I feel the same way

I quit after 10 years and 5k hours. The game is dead. From what I see it is even worse than I expected. it is beyond comprehension. they would literally need to reverse every change they made to make me come back.

That was my biggest problem. They've made the grind so excruciating. You have to use cores for everything, but they reduced the amount of cores you get from farming. There are no vendor rewards either. They just -blam!- up the game for casual players, because nobody wants to sit here and play twice as long for half the rewards. They don't have a player population, so they want to increase the amount of time individual players spend in activities. It just reminds me of the XP throttling that happens during year 1. They killed the game for a buck again.
-
This is Bungie’s strategy. They have to kill a past generation so a new one can grow. There’s like 11 players that desperately wanted all this

When was the airport last renovated?

Oh, I missed that jump - old
Yawn. No one cares if you were a day 1 player or a beta d1 player. You guys got to get over saying that. -
Have fun playing whatever games you find more fulfilling!
-
The higher the tier the more perk combinations you get
-
Just play d1 way more better than d2
