It’s such a shame because this narrative with the Nine is genuinely so strong. I do truly believe it could have been its own game and would have worked. Dream scenario?
*Truly updated textures and visuals
*A more open and expansive over-world experience- I’m talking true world bosses, dynamic events, characters and quests scattered across bigger less confined maps
*A more fleshed out social mmo aspect. Trading, true crafting, housing, an overhaul to factions and guilds
*An even further fleshed out armor system. A full rework of mods to be less binary a more dynamic in combination and utility. Even more set bounces (I LOVED this change and have been hoping for it) stuff that ranges to support for early game players all the way to true end game sets to grind for.
*Finally a FULL overhaul of abilities. Something on par with all other mmo’s. We need skill lines for all the subclasses with dedicated functions that we can mix and watch.

I personally would have found it cool if we- the guardian- would have just left the Sol System and Vanguard altogether. End up in a new Sol System and really the only connection to D1/D2 would be: The Nine. Have us explore the new Sol System, find new planets and go on missions based on The Nine. Have us collect resources on some these missions. Timelapse Cutscenes as an expansion or season went on, could show us building a new Sol Station Base. Each new season the base would get a little larger and complex. Maybe some kind of floating ring in space. Maybe have 9 pads so each of the Nine could have their own unique space. We go to them to collect bounties and missions.
