This is the end.
I bought the collectors edition, I kind of guessed it was over, wanted a keepsake for the 10 years I’ve played and mostly loved this game.
Needing seasonal armour to have access to certain activities, regrinding new armour every season? Catalysts getting harder and harder to acquire. Just more loops to jump through than ever before.

Edited by yodas_buddy: 7/24/2025 4:09:27 PMI couldn't agree more with everything you say, I just requested a refund after loading it up and reading reviews from players like yourself who want to play but it's not worth it as the game is too greedy to take all their time with no reward. Time to grind is insane and a joke... as you say exotic catalysts have been joke for a while, seasonal grind is now a joke (gring 100s hours to ACCESS tier 5 grind, then reset after 6 months, is this actually a joke for real?!), having to use the latest gear is a joke. Even the scale / size of the missions and areas seems on a budget. It's all a bad joke at our expense to farm engagement hours... why? Maybe so bonuses get paid out. What about measuring staff on customer enjoyment not how long you can farm them for. That might encourage good game design. As it is it's disgusting. I'm going from buy every season and a bit of silver here and there to free to play from now on until Bungie listens.
