Who was this even made for????
Issue 1: It takes a TON of time to get Power Level up.
Issue 2: Loot drops are tied to Power Level, NOT difficulty.

It's like playing an idle game... congrats you have big number now go get bigger numbers so you can unlock.... wait for it...BIG numbers but with different colors then even bigger numbers but this time they spin AND have a different color.... And guess what those games are also starting free to play with limited gameplay unless you buy premium and micro transactional hellscapes for limited time cosmetics... Sound familiar....

It's definitely crap. So, no. I don't like it at all.

Edited by Discovery: 7/24/2025 6:05:55 AMAs it is implemented, I don't enjoy it. In six months your time spent grinding is pointless also. The thing that would make me grind is if I can overlevel and actually feel I have more power, then I would grind. Now Power is mostly to hinder you getting to run more difficult activities. As the game is becoming more and more difficult for every release, I don't chase more difficult activites, and if I would want it, I can just choose a more difficult version in the GUI anyway to get even more annoying bullet sponges that already are in the "easier" activities. I'm not a hamster, I'm a human.

game wasn't designed for the masses . it's only for streamers and day 1 raids from here on out. bungie is blocking players from playing it by power level ,knowing most players won't ever play end game now.
-
I don’t mind it, my issue is them moving us back to half power at season reset. Lol

Edited by Maddmunkey: 7/24/2025 4:41:53 PMI'm trying to figure out how they expected to enjoy this but I just can't I can't farm for any sort of specific gun or armor loadout for buildcrafting because I need 8 million hours of grinding to be "allowed" to get the buildcraft gear so then what is the point in grinding now if we are going to be reset and we don't have a ton of time to grind? If I had red borders, specific armor or weapons, or anything that would allow me to buildcraft so I could try playing the game in a different way then I'd happily be grinding but I'm not allowed to grind for that right now so I just don't want to do it because the process itself is not even fun either nor are there any fun matchmaking opportunities besides quickplay and that got old super fast.

I'll say that when I came back the month before EoF, and I was handed max power gear....I had more fun than ever. Being able to just jump on and be able to farm whatever I wanted was nice. Going back to this grind fest after EoF.....I hate it. I'd rather wait till the end of the season we're they probably will do the same with handing out max lv gear. Let us play the game, not grind away.

What I find really annoying now is that I feel like there is no point in leveling up all of my weapons that are in the vault because it will just be a waste of time since everything will be reset to 200 when Renegades comes out in December.

Edited by Guardian,Archon Of Light: 7/24/2025 9:23:27 PMNot when it's a substitute for content, and doesn't matter in endgame Like climbing a ladder to nowhere, just to say you climbed a latter You should feel yourself taking less damage and doing more damage as you increase in power, if you don't, than it's just wasting your time

In general, grinding is fine. The biggest issue, in my opinion, is the involuntary resetting of progress just to make you do it again. I'm with it.. I grinded Baal runs ( Diablo 2 LOD on pc , thier 'raid boss/farm ) over and over 100 runs a night.. The why? Farming for god rolls, of course.. the reason we were all ok with it ? Thousands of items were dropping.. you could sell, trade upgrade and try new builds.. it wasn't 4 swords and 2 shields over and over. Destiny has an unrewarding system.

If actually meant something I could. Buts it’s totally arbitrary within most of the game’s content.
-
what is cute is when an activity is 200 lvl but has a -50 delta, but you can't play it at 150 lvl because you arn't high enough lvl. but if you were 200 lvl you would be pushed back down to 150 lvl because of the -50 lvl delta.

Yeah when I heard this, I was so happy I didn’t buy this crap. I don’t remember Bungie fully explaining how players would get Tier 5 gear. They left it up in the air cause they KNEW that If players saw the Tier 5 gear locked behind power level, most would NOT buy. They scandalous for that! AND I saw that the Raid Gear is Tier 1 gear? And this is supposed to be Endgame Content? The disrespect is at an all time high.

Simply not interested in grinding from start for a so called "new game experience" I've been playing Destiny for a decade now. And this feels like a D1 power grind all because bungie has run out of ideas. On the weekend I need to evaluate if its worth considering even buying season pass as right now.. I'm just not sure
-
Soon even rerolls of your weapons/armour is going to be for sale for Silver. No I am NOT kidding.....
-
I'm just in it for the tier gear I really don't care about the power there's no reason the power up in the first place.. It's understandable if like the raid required 300 or more power but the fact it only requires 200 there's no reason to grind in the first place for power... Personally I think the power seasonal cap is way too high I think it should be 50 levels per season not 250.. I think bungie did this just to keep playing numbers up it wasn't about to improve the game or make things better it was just a way for them to benefit themselves self image survival.

I enjoy the portal a lot actually. Being able to grind power in so many different ways and solo if you want, is amazing imo.
-
I don't mind the grind; what i will mind - is the idea of doing it again in 6 months
-
It’s not grinding for power that’s a problem, it’s just how it’s executed. I just started up D1 for the first time in years, and after 70 hrs on a brand new account from scratch, I’m already 394 light. Felt well worth it. When there’s a beneficial progression system and consideration for players time, it’s not a problem.
-
Levelling up is ok. But, Bungle mistake GRINDING for actual innovation.
-
Back in D1 when it gave bonus- yes. In D2 current where everything scales no matter your level "never above par" -no.
-
Not me 1000%.

I definitely do not
