It feels like there is nothing to do, running the same portal activities over and over for drops is already boring and what’s the goal of it to increase your power level ? It seems that’s the only thing to do in the game and increasing your power level is not content it’s a mindless grind for no payoff . And your power level doesn’t matter because most activities have you under level anyway. So where is the content am I missing something.
-
This is what happens when a player base accepts mediocrity. Luke was right…. We throw money at the screen.
-
Bungie: "Did you increase your Power Level?" Community: "Yes." Bungie: "... Did you increase your Power Level?" Community: "You already suggested that." Bungie: "But did you do it on your alts?"
-
What do you mean??? What about the endless, meaningless grind? That's content isn't it? Well in Bungies opinion it is... I log in for an hour maybe two and then I'm bored out of my brain because all there is to do is grind the same -blam!- over and over again for PL that is completely pointless because no matter what I do I'll always be under level....
-
I played a couple missions or so of the new campaign. The whole new hard reset, throwing everything away, sound issues, bugs and the likes were very confusing, frustrating and imho boring. Too bad bc I was honestly really enjoying the point we reached at every level, from story, to playable and replayable content. “Collector’s” game or something like that they said right? Sure Bungie, making everything obsolete seems perfectly inline. Let’s look at the bright side. No more vault space issues.

You're describing the base of the game since the beginning of D1. What exactly did you enjoy doing before the expansion? I'm personally enjoying taking my time with clearing fabled/mythic Kepler, solving puzzles with minimal spoilers, and messing around with the new armor stats. After those are completed, then Destiny goes back to where it usually lives, where i hop on once or twice a week, raid with my group every other weekend, and take the time to enjoy it alongside other games. If you're looking to a single game to fill the entirety of your free time, you're asking for burnout.

Only found 1 matchmaking thing to do. Did it. Got bored. Turned off game.
-
Thank goodness they spent all that money making Marathon.
-
Nope, saw this coming a mile away. I had a feeling they were not putting a ton of new content into any of the ops in portal. Sorry you got sucked in. The old content in solo ops portal is mostly lost sectors from my brief experience. Tried a few other things, but quickly realized that It was gonna take 6 months to get to level 200 doing solo ops and other activities. Even increasing difficulty to max at I-Level 20 got me nothing decent, so much for the promise of increasing difficulty to get better rewards. Everything still drops at 1-3 I-Levels up and tier 1 gear. I even got an exotic 58 base stat points. That is like Tier 2 maybe.
-
If there is nothing to do then what have I been doing for the last couple of weeks?
-
It always baffles me how shallow the game truly is when Bungie doesn't drip feed us content. There's nothing to do but grind Power Level and run the campaign on your alts if you haven't yet.
-
Feels like the -blam!- beta all over again

Personally I’m running Portal to get spikey armour stats for Trials. I’m thinking weapons and class as I’m a Warlock. I wouldn’t attempt to do raids anymore. Everyone I raided with has left and the LFG system isn’t very good anymore. . And FTMM removed the need to play as a team in Trials. Destiny has become a very singular experience. Which is a little odd as it was once very social. I’d have Trials friends and raid friends. Pointless now as I just no mic 3 man PvE and solo Q Trials.

This is the first time I haven't bought a dlc for destiny. Everything that they showed off before release none of it seemed very exciting to me it just looked like more of the same old albeit with the new armor and weapon system. It seems lackluster and not really innovative. I might buy the star wars one only because im a star wars fan. Before I get the "why are you on the forums then" comment, I like to keep up and with what's going on in the franchise I've spent much time on
-
Honestly it’s just the grind that is keeping most logging in to chase the power level ….but why ?!
-
Yup this game is about to have the lowest playerbase of all time. No seasonal content just a reward pass was a major mistake.

Edited by Klaus_Reaper (Adept): 7/23/2025 2:00:53 PMI was checking the portal, can somebody explain to me (Not Joking at all), why fire team the "onslaught" is set on "cooperative" this always had matchmaking, why Bungie is screwing Solo players? The raid isn't enough? Edit: ok let me kind of answer my own question, they want you to use the fire team finder option?

They didn't cycle out last week's content for new activities for some reason... I might be crazy, but I think there's actually less solo ops in rotation this week.

I called this before release. tiers are just another level of RNG, not difficulty. Hardcore players will burn out and casuals will feel they can never get there and quit. Bullet sponges that can hit harder isn't difficulty matterspark abilities are a one and done, they weren't used int he raid, and devs said they wont be used outside of Kepler, so unless they build more content on Kepler, it seems to me that this was a total waste of time and resources that only serves to push more of the player base out of the game, making them less money for the next expansion. You are also right to question where the new stuff is. Trouble is being a smaller expansion, outside the missions in the kepler map, thats it. There aint no more new stuff, thats why all the puzzles, and grind and levels or rng, to slow down player progression in the hope they play longer in the fomo grind simulator they have created. The portal is just run the old stuff as we aint got new stuff, assuming you want to get above 200, players will gravitate to the missions that offer the best rewards and /or are quick to run. I assume that this will be a future advertising space as well, so enjoy. What they should have done was to build Destiny 3 and give us taken subclasses, regain the trust of PvP players. "not like this" Switch from matrix
-
switch to PVP, this is Destiny’s highlight game mode
-
The DLC fine but man can’t really call these changes good when we still run the same builds no post raid content no new aspects just pay $100 to turn into a ball an make rock platforms.
-
Crazy how all the “new content” is just the campaign and harder versions of the campaign (Fabled, mythic) The rest of edge of fate is just running old content to get the same gear again 💀
-
Marathon, unwanted and unneeded, will probably prove to have been the final Death of Bungie. All of those resources squandered instead of being spent on D3, listening to no-life TryHards instead of actual customers. I’d be astonished if Sony doesn’t gut all senior management and fully absorbs what’s left. A beloved game hollowed out to the point of repetitive nothing, hamster wheel extraordinaire. If it wasn’t for a good friend playing this game I would have abandoned D2 prior to EoF. Ah well, at least we have all learned something finally - that Bungie’s future pre-sales will be in single digits.
-
Yep if bungie don't adjust the grind this game is cooked. lm not talking a little bit ,by at least 50% and even at that would be way to much for most players.
-
There really just isn't any content. Once you finish the campaign, its just a level grinder... ...which I'd be fine with if it was leading me somewhere, but it looks like all it does is unlock the ability to guild Conqueror. (Which I like to do every season) The tiered armor has value among tiers but the weapons are so incrementally similar, that I'm going to be content with T2 and just consider whatever falls into my lap north of that, as a bonus. Sieve is ok but but I sure wish there was some other fresh stuff around to play. Leveling souly for armor and Conqueror feels a bit one dimensional for someone at my investment level. I hope they make some changes.
-
A sad end to a game, with at one time, so much potential !
-
Like even if you want to run any of the mythic stuff, you run the weekly on mythic and get 1 reward for doing so lol pure rubbish
