I don't want to rehash all the comments and feedback that have already been provided on social media platforms I don't use but it really sucks that I wasted 3 day's worth of PTO when I have less than a week's worth every year for this. I don't consider myself a bad player by any means (feel free to raid report me and tell me to uninstall) but my team had no delusions of clearing this after we figured out mechanics and made it to dps somewhat reliably.
Aside from the bugs, aside from the essential knowledge nerfs that were conveniently "forgotten about" to include in the patch notes, aside from the error codes that literally cost a team their WF - I think the worst thing about this contest was that it was deliberately planned for people to need to loadout swap numerous times in a single phase. This literally and I mean >literally goes against the 06/26 TWAB.

"While we fully applaud those throughout the community who want to push the needle as far as it can go, we’ve found that this is presenting balance issues where it feels mandatory, and we don't feel the main draw of the Exotic should be centered around swap-centric strategies."
If this is how contest is expected to be in the future, I really hope people stop giving it interaction because this is not a fun or rewarding experience if your ego isn't on the line (extrinsic motivators like loot being irrelevant as that's a matter for a completely separate discussion). I thought giving it more time would allow my feelings to settle but I find myself more upset and not because I wasn't good enough to get the clear.

And what was Bungie doing while the entire player base was telling them to adjust boss health? Baking a cake for one of their content creators who they flew out to their studio. That should tell you all that you need to know about who they cater to these days.

You “wasting” pto when you have less than a week is a you problem. If you make video games your priority to do the aforementioned then it isn’t a waste. To be fair I stopped reading after that because it just shows your mindset.

Edited by JazzyPaladin477: 7/22/2025 7:48:00 PMWow. Thats a major piss-off for console players. I didn’t care enough to watch any of it. I’m morbidly interested to find out what made load-out swapping a requirement though. What weapons/builds were being swapped? Doesn’t swapping while all of your ability/super energy(notswap)

Were they ever it?

Edited by BegFourMercy: 7/23/2025 3:55:12 AMHot swapping has to go in any mode. If it happens, It should instantly reset super, class, grenade abilities. All ammo should be removed. This is not how the game should be played, and content should not be made harder because of PC players basically cheating. Play also needs to be tweaked if it continues for console players. All the raid players who did this and also took advantage of the lord of wolfs ammo glitch should be disqualified.

*Slow clap* thank you for saying all this. If Bungie cares, they need to take all of this to heart. Sadly, it may be blacker than the Black Heart of the Vex...

I disagree the only thing they need now is a change of hours stop making this for p*** to go and clear this within 48 hours it’s a DAY 1 raid race not a day 2 raid race. If you ask me anyone who completed it past 24 hours is disqualified. Stop catering to these casuals

I'd be interested to know if even a single team beat contest without constant loadout swapping.
