This is ridiculous. I have had 10 games this weekend of hard hackers on brand new accounts. You have to do something, this is why you’re losing players.
Other games can deal with this issue. This is embarrassing, fix it. This is incompetence, people pay too much money to play this -blam!- and have to deal with hacker after hacker.
I matched the same cheater three -blam!- games in a row. I REFUSE to believe that the loser on a fresh account is the one out of 6 total people in solo queue.
Yesterday I tried to help someone and I matched cheaters FIVE GAMES IN A ROW!!!!! FIVE!
Get it together!!!!!
Edit:
I played 36 games across three days this weekend. 11 of those games involved a blatant hacker on one of the two teams, with a freshly made or clearly purchased account. That means that 30% of my games involved hard aimbotters.

I really don't get it, they have a boat load of cheaters on Windows... Yet they don't allow Linux.. which has the exact same anti-cheat? Are they a masochistic or something? Do they ENJOY embarrassment?
-
Bungie apparently loves cheaters.
-
Its open access week is why. Same thing happened when they made Beyond Light free to play along with the exotic weapon Cloudstrike for free, much like Izanagi's Burden is right now. & ya know what happened? Cheaters collectively created thousands of burner accounts. These types events benefit, proliferate, and uplift the cheating community. Hurting the game & player base for months to come.
-
That’s so frustrating. Really is unbelievable Bungie can’t get ahold on this
-
That’s why trials now has a guaranteed passage to lighthouse card that tracks win streaks - not requiring 7 wins in a row. I played against an extremely suspicious twitch streamer who had two accounts under the same username in his fireteam on top of his perfect performance. Nobody honest needs two accounts, especially one having your twitch name while the other was made under his twitch name and renamed with a random bungie only nickname We just have to keep complaining and pointing out the things we notice
-
You can blame the open access week for that.
-
Five games? That’s no coincidence; it’s the pattern, the signal. Bungie’s in on it, laughing as they flip the switch, making us queue into their traps. But I’ll outsmart them tin foil on my router, change my gamertag to shadows. Fix it? They won’t, because we’re the experiment. Stay vigilant, brother; the aimbots are listening.

Edited by Golden: 7/13/2025 9:35:58 PMOn the bright side a smaller PC cheater clan apparently got hit with the ban hammer recently. Seen a few of its members on the forums crying that they got banned for no reason.

It's a joke.. Bungie won't ban anyone and the cheats know it. And they are pretty much all on console. I thought I'd play a few games of Trials to see out the season, and there's been a cheat in every game so far. Even checking their Steam profile and half of them have been taken a ban there as well. Biggest joke in gaming history. -
That hurts. The worst part is that Bungie will never really get this problem under control on PC. They ban three people, and six more spawn. When you see that a Newlight from Epic Games is in the lobby, you can put down your mouse/controller and go get a coffee. XD

And this is why marathon will be dead on arrival. 🙃🙃

Edited by Sky_hawk: 7/13/2025 10:31:57 PMOn console the cheating is more subtle but still visible when someone is using a special device… FYI… there are controllers with cheat codes already build in… being sold online… Utterly ridiculous… The cheating is out of control everywhere…

Question is what is keeping the same crowd playing so much ?! Control is terrible right now I can barely manage 3 games ….how is someone playing 30-40 games ?!

I can take em Put me in coach

Didn't you just try to troll me essentially about having issues with pvp?

they're just talented enough to be a 3.0 K/D over 20 hours of gameplay seems normal to me

Hey sometimes your opponent is just having a really good day…. Or using a controller
