This isn't a post to complain, or to try and get attention, I just didn't want to quit this game that I've loved for so long now, without saying goodbye to the community that made it what it is. I've made a lot of good memories over my years playing Destiny, and some of them may have even been with people from these forums. To those of you who were the heart and soul of this community, and made it a fun and positive experience for me and so many others, it's been an honour and a pleasure gaming with you all. In particular, to those selfless sherpas who helped me learn raids when I was first starting out, thank you for making raiding a more positive and approachable experience for everyone, and for helping me get to the point where I could pay it forward and become a sherpa myself. You are truly a credit to the D2 community, and one of the best parts of it.
As much as I love what Destiny has been and could be, with the impending arrival of Edge of Fate, the game will have reached a point where it will no longer feel worth the price to me, and doesn't seem like it will be enjoyable to play even if it weren't so expensive. As a result, I'm bowing out now. I bid you all a very fond farewell, and to those with the courage and money to stay, I wish you the very best of luck.
It's been one heck of a ride.
Eyes up, Guardians.
