Im excited about the newest update and expansion to drop next week.
But im also kinda saddened when I think about it. This next expansion to my understanding is going to be a huge change.
Armor,Weapons, and even content is changing.
We are losing some things to make way for hopefully great new things.
I’m definitely excited about the new stuff.
But thinking about losing Grandmasters is crazy.
When I play with my friends that’s the one thing we really enjoyed doing… for years! Yeah we like other things but GM’s were #1 for us.
I wish I could put the game currently on a shelf and pull it back out and play all of the content years later exactly the way it is now.
And the new stuff was just added. I’m not a developer so I’m not going to pretend to understand but I’m guessing we can’t get the new stuff and keep the old or else it’ll slow the game down. Can’t have both.
If that’s the case I just wish all new stuff would be w new game. So that we can keep d2 the way it is. I don’t want to delete all my armor I don’t want to delete my weapons. But I hear that with the change there is no point in keeping most of our current stuff.
I have some really old weapons.
I’m venting.
Ppl are about to clown on me in the comments. I don’t care.
I’m about to run a GM with my brother.
Good night

All your old weapons will still be usable. New weapons will be better if the perk synergies are better .armor will get power crept at the highest levels though for certain stat combinations

Change is a good thing. The game needs to evolve. That’s how the franchise is alive after 11 years. Embrace it.

It's ok, I've been sad all my life
But thinking about losing Grandmasters is crazy.
Yep, new philosophy is Portal, Portal, Portal. Dumbdown everything, put it on a single page, people turn on the game, log in, select what that want and press start then get tossed into random content :) :) :) good thing they kept the Director tab though

Change is needed tbh I remember being sad when they removed the ability to change burns on weapons back in the Red War days

That's the downside to online games if they last long enough the devs need to shake things up and it's a gamble in if it's a good shake up or not. Hopefully the changes will be good but we'll know more soon enough.
