Came back to destiny after taking a few months off. Played on pc and PlayStation and now have an Xbox as I enjoy it more that ps5. While doing my cross save for Xbox I added the gamertag jurassicpast which is what Xbox shows it as in game and what it’s shown as in game while playing destiny but apparently the gamer tag is actually jurassicpast342 just the 342 is hidden for some reason. Anyway I added just jurassicpast to my cross save and apparently that’s an old gamertag of mine I no longer have access to and my characters are now on that gamertag and not the new one I’ve created. My characters cannot be moved and I cannot deactivate cross save as it would require me to login to the old gamertag and as expected bungie will not do anything to help me. I’ve played this game for the last 8 years since release and have spent $1,000’s of dollars on content and spent 1,000’s of hours building my account just to make a simple mistake and have my entire account and all 3 characters basically just deleted from the game. A lot of people talk bad about bungie and I never did but boy it does all make sense to me now. I feel bungie does this on purpose because now I would have to buy all the expansions again and all the cosmetics I have from buying silver over the years and I bet some people actually do that but I will not and I will never have good things to say about bungie again. Not even a dedicated customer support email you can reach out to just a help forum. Bungie truly feels like a company where they just simply do not care about the people who play their games or the people who spend their hard earned money and keep the lights on over there. I’ve never experience something like this where you make one little mistake and type something in wrong and all the time, energy, and money you have put into something is just flushed down the toilet when in all honesty is probably something that for them would be so easy to fix they just refuse to do so. In conclusion will not be buying edge of fate even though I would like to play the game I just simply cannot support a company who does so little for their customers. Quitting destiny and will never be playing bungie games again.
