After seeing the upcoming changes to Stasis' champion stunning capabilites, alongside with no buffs or changes to compensate for it, Stasis is now completely messed over by how it's been treated over the past few years
While understandably Chill Clip was a very strong perk, why is the whole subclass being nerfed because of it? That reads as totally unfair and extremely poor balance in terms of design. How on earth does one weapon perk warrant an entire subclass being nerfed? So now Stasis can only stun one champion inherently compared to every other subclass, but not only that, we are *still* stuck with one super per class and only three grenades, which didn't see any buffs to their damage despite almost every other class getting one (Even Forerunner's Rock Grenade got buffed, but nothing for Stasis?)
The state in which Stasis has been left in is so unfair, and the fact that there was nothing, literally *nothing*, in terms of buffs to the subclass really reads to me and lots of others that Bungie just doesn't care about Stasis as much as it should, which is so not fair to me and the many other people who love Stasis and want to run it in all forms of content, but can't because it's so outclassed by every other subclass in terms of variety and strength.
You wanted to bring Chill Clip in line, fine, but now there is no excuse for how abysmal Stasis is being treated right now, and I really hope we see some meaningful changes being incorporated into the subclass. More supers, more melee options, more grenades. If the intent is to leave Stasis as is and not expand any of it's options, you are essentially driving Stasis into it's own grave. It irritates me how you speak about "Stasis' role in the sandbox" to justify all these changes, when really the only role it's taken and is STILL TAKING is the bottom of the barrel.
Give Stasis the love it deserves

Le Reinforcements have arrived… - old
Give Stasis the love it deserves
I still wake up in a cold sweat sometimes remembering Crucible after Beyond Light. Stasis deserves nothing, and it’s lucky it hasn’t been executed for its numerous violations of the Geneva Conventions. -
When the utility subclass cant even be a utility subclass
-
When I saw that change in the TWAB I was like “ok this is the most random out of pocket nerf they could have done”.
-
Edited by Zoidberg: 7/11/2025 2:50:06 AMReally short sighted change. Stasis needs more abilities, supers, and overall buffs before THE 1 thing it had going for it gets a backhanded nerf.
-
I mean… Osmio lock builds are by far some of the strongest in the game. Titan has some cracked builds too. Hunter yes it is lacking
-
When the only worthwhile Stasis build in the game is a Warlock spamming turrets and contributing basically nothing else, you know the subclass is inherently flawed. Stasis is the "black sheep" of the subclass picks for a reason. Bungie deciding to nerf Chill Clip by kneecapping Stasis itself was certainly the most Bungie Choice they could have made.

Sick & tired of light handed approach with the Shuriken melee ability. Revenant to this day is still a class with only 2 abilitys, dodge and grenade. Revert the Shuriken's tracking, velocity, and magnetism values to its Beyond Light values. If the code is lost copy the void titan's Sentinel Shield super tracking, velocity, and magnetism then apply those values to the Shuriken.

Edited by Joulevette12: 7/10/2025 5:54:09 PMThe class needs a rework because all other classes inherently have elemental drop passively while Stasis Shards requires a aspect this needs to change badly because it cripples the class more then the rest. I know they don't want to but stop prolonging this travesty and actually rework those 3 aspects so we don't have to rely heavily on them just to get stasis shards.

Edited by Alak Hul the Pothead: 7/10/2025 10:38:43 PMChill clip was perfectly fine. Bungie devs are just incapable of properly balancing anything.

Edited by neonsox42: 7/10/2025 8:59:12 PMStasis Buffs: - New Super and melee option for all 3. - Stasis weapons now instantly shatter stasis crystals. - Buffs to weaker Aspects. - Frozen combatants shatter for 1/3rd the damage if the Frozen effect timer runs out. - Weak automatic shatters. - New Keyword Frostbite - Debuff effect, the afflicted target deals minor AoE damage whenever they take damage (1s cooldown between AoE activations). - Strong against Unstoppable Champions - stuns when Unstoppable is hit with the AoE. - Applied by New Grenade, Balliadorse, Winter’s Wrath, Winter’s Shroud, Shatterdive, Shiverstrike, Buffed Cryoclasm, Lancecap, and multiple fragments. - New Grenade: Snowball Grenade - Sticky grenade. Applies Frostbite to those hit. Explodes on impact instantly. Frostbite works like Jolt but has a similar AoE to Kinetic tremors. Lower damage without investment. New Fragment allows Frostbite detonations to shatter frozen enemies and stasis crystals.

As someone who shatterskates across the map every time I get on the game, yeah stasis is fine. And also, stasis titan and warlock have some crazy builds so…

You've got some nerve, I have never won a 3 vs.3 crucible, with even one stasis player. Downvoted.
-
You would think valid discussions like this would deserve serious conversations but you ain't Tassi so I wouldn't hold your breath.
-
I never liked stasis. Too clunky for me Imo solar classes also need a ton of pve help

Stasis is good. But it’s also the least flexible. New supers and melee abilities would really help with that.
-
I would just like bungie to state what they wa t stasis to be and how this change aligns with that. Because as far as I can tell, it doesn't make any sense.
-
It shame. Stasis only good use against OL.
