The new Neon Fade Emblem is currently being exclusively given away through the Game2Give charity event. While charity itself is a good thing, the incentive behind the giving is not.
The people who are giving the money for these emblems are not charitable people by nature, they are just wanting the exclusivity of an emblem. The kids should be given knowledge of where the money is procured, through malicious intent by doing exclusive emblems to get money.
Anyone who has bought the Neon Fade emblem is an narcissistic lowlife that do not care about this charity. They just want the clout to say they got a rare emblem.
Remove this disgusting behaviour from this community Bungie.

I'm all for giving to charity, especially with kids charities. The thing that makes me scratch my head is why not make the emblem to be purchased like the other emblems in the charity? Make it a little more in price since it is a clean emblem. I'm sure they would make a lot for charity that way.

Edited by ForeverLaxx: 7/8/2025 12:24:42 PMPersonally, I wish people who wanted to "give to charity" would just do that directly instead of helping Bungie with their yearly tax write-offs. Beyond that, who cares.
-
What a weird take. If an emblem means more people can benefit from the charity isnt that a good thing?
-
Idk to me this screams I’m mad that I can’t get the emblem I want. Regardless of the intentions, it’s more money that flies to the charity. If they removed all incentives then a lot less money would be donated.

Are you high?
-
Who tf cares about emblems and these stupid -blam!- charities?!

Wow your very judgy. Some people like giving to charity and if they get some cheap bit of digital gift for it they don't really care. So maybe don't paint everyone with the emblem with the same brush especially as you can't prove they all acted out of selfish want and not a desire to do good.

Edited by Guardian,Archon Of Light: 7/8/2025 12:22:15 AMIt doesn't matter the intentions of the Donator , if they cared about the cause or just wanted the emblem, the money will help the same And having an exclusive item like an emblem has incentive would get people who normally wouldn't bother to donate, ensuring maximum donations Your just mad because you can't get the emblem for free
-
The people who are giving the money for these emblems are not charitable people by nature, they are just wanting the exclusivity of an emblem.
So the charity gets money from people that actually care about their cause & from others that don't, & you think that's a BAD thing?
-
Charity is a good thing. Does 100% of the proceeds go to charitable networks and tax write-off? I don’t know… The real issue is this: Why do they reserve the hardest looking emblem behind a paywall while your solo flawless dungeon and hard pinnacle emblems look like straight DOGSHT
-
Lol, incentiving a good thing... is a bad thing?
-
I bet you’re fun in real life. Lmao.
-
I think you need to reevaluate your mindset because it's busted.
Remove this disgusting behaviour from this community Bungie.
Why do you need bungie to do that? Why can't you remove yourself?
-
The funniest thing about all of it is that you are being serious! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 I used to donate blood for concert tickets. The people that needed it didn't give a damn that I was getting something out of it as well. I bet the Game2Give recipients don't care about how the benefits of the event got to them either.

Edited by Hunter_Umbra: 7/7/2025 8:50:05 PMPlenty of reasons to criticize Bungie, but this isn't one of them, chief. No charity is 100% pure. Anyone with a brain knows that. You have to weigh the positives with the negatives and decide whether or not YOU feel it's worth giving away your money even when you know a business takes a portion.

This has to be bait.

Sounds like someone's a jealous baby.

Get a life.

Edited by WifeAggro_AFK: 7/7/2025 1:20:11 PMMoney goes to a good cause....do you really think that the people who are the beneficiaries would care that people are only donating because they want an online digitil portrait? You're making it sound like this is blood money lol.
-
I mean by your logic, then isn’t a good thing we are providing special electronic pixels to greedy people in exchange for money that can do real good in the world?
-
ok but who asked?

Le Reinforcements have arrived… - old
Or…hear me out…people just want to do whatever they want with their own disposable income, and see a chance to exchange their money for a cosmetic item, even if any benefit to others is entirely incidental. I mean, just donate to the charity and get it yourself. -
As an avid emblem collector, I thought the Neon Fade emblem was being given away to creators who participate in the PvP tournament that Bungie is hosting, with some emblem codes being given to creators for redistribution how they see appropriate.
