I am so tired of having to do every single trickle fed weekly mission on every character. Let’s go back to D1 where after the campaign, everything is transferable across characters. I work full time and go to school, the last thing I wanna see when I get on is the fact that I can’t play on every character. I wanna enjoy playing on my warlock and Hunter but I can’t because the only character I’ve finished stuff on is my titan. I know this is supposed to be a grindy game but, come on, having to go find every single fragment for prismatic for every single character is ridiculous. I wanna be able to play between characters as I choose, but with so much trickle fed content it’s hard to do so. Let me know if anyone else feels the same.

Yes, but - like Sony deciding to charge for multiplayer from PS4 - then Bungle worked out they could get people to pay a disproportionate fee to do the exact same thing.

in the end, the destiny maintenance team only cares how much you visit the cash shop the number one metric connected to cash shop purchases is /timeplayed, which means they only care how long you play and thus come to the conclusion that longer and nigh endless grinds equal more /timeplayed they'll keep pushing until too many players quit and then they'll finally dial it back a bit fyi they barely care about players that don't buy anything, almost invisible to the suits running the maintenance team - players that buy nothing do nothing for their job goals declining live services are frequently very ugly and try to strip mine their playerbase for anything they can get

Edited by ben: 6/24/2025 6:44:55 PMThis is definitely a felt sentiment, it is torturous that seasonal questlines are not shared because they take an eternity, no one is doing that stuff more than one time, i havent even done it once on one character. And subclasses/destinations should not be gated by per character campaign progress... once you do the shadowkeep, lightfall, witch queen, and BL stories on one character you should get their respective destinations on all of them and have a streamlined way to unlock stasis and strand on alternate characters (think the new light subclass quests). Im slogging through all the campaigns on all my characters right now just to be able to buy the destination bounties for bounty prep and it is hell. if the content vault had one single good merit its that the forsaken campaign is gone so you get the dreaming city automatically now.

This is one of the main reasons I spend ~0.5% of every Season and expansion on my Hunter and Titan combined (and I know that number because of the End of Season stats we always get).

Edited by Nerd_Herd: 6/24/2025 6:18:34 PMI don't know who thought it was a good idea to charge people money to do a campaign skip and so made you complete the same campaign *3* times if you wanted to unlock all the options for the various classes. Almost did it as a returning player. Decided not to reward such gross behaviour by paying money for it. Guess I boosted their "engagement" instead.

I still say the power, progression, and difficulty of the first game feel much better compared with d2.

Well, Different character has different play style. I like to have variety play style. I don't mind have to do the campaign 3 times. My main character is Titan. I can't push my Warlock and Hunter using Titan play style. And if I do, It means I don't play Titan correctly...LOL

Who's forcing you?
