ERROR CANNOT AUTHORIZE
i’m trying to unlink my old steam account and put my new one in but when i do it wouldn’t let me and give me a cannot authorize error code. The account and its email isn’t deleted it works perfectly fine. My other accounts don’t do this except my steam. Is there anything to do to fix this issue?

As of March 25th, you are not allowed to unlink platform accounts (minus Twitch) from a Bungie.net profile. This includes attempting to move an account from a Bungie.net profile it's already linked to, to a different Bungie.net profile.

Hi there, Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, you won't be able to unlink your old Steam account. Since March 25th's [url=https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/35597981889300-Notice-Bungie-net-Account-Unlinking-Update-on-March-25-2025]unlinking update[/url], only Twitch accounts are now eligible to be unlinked from Bungie profiles. All other platform accounts, once linked, are linked permanently. Further, as Bungie entrusts players with the security and management regarding linking their accounts, we do not unlink any accounts on players' behalf. Thus, the Steam account in question will remain linked.
