I got a new PC gaming rig, and was thinking of getting Edge of fate on PC. but I already have all of the previous ones one my Playstation account. Am I going to lose access to weapons/armour and locations obtained from previous expansions?

Edited by EckyThump: 6/19/2025 12:12:00 AMHey there. Once you earn a piece of gear, including Exotics, from any DLC, those items are 100% usable when you are playing on another platform that does not own the DLC. So if you earned Microcosm from The Final Shape on Playstation, you can freely use it on PC, even when you do not own The Final Shape there. However you will lose access to activities linked to DLC you do not own. Examples would be Pit of Heresy, if you do not own the Shadowkeep Pack on PC. It will also apply to raids like Deep Stone Crypt, location-specific activies like Preservation, replayable campaign missions, and I think you will also lose access to the Pale Heart in general, including Overthrow. You will also be unable to use the Strand subclass on a platform that you do not own Lightfall on, as well as Prismatic on a platform you do not own The Final Shape on. You will not lose access to Dungeon Key content, as these are tied to the character set rather than being something owned by the platform. Same for episode pass content, for the same reason. Lastly you will still be able to access locations like Neomuna, Savathun's Throne World, to go shooting at things in the patrol areas, DLC is not required for that.

Hi there. Any weapons/armor or other gear you acquire is yours to keep and use when you go between different platforms. DLC license, however, are controlled by the platform stores and are licensed only for use on the platform you buy them from. They cannot be shared or transfer from one to another, so yes, you'd need to rebuy any you want on PC. Hello there, Thank you very much for reaching out to us. I'm sorry to hear about the confusion you are having with potentially changing platforms. While some content that is linked to your character will be carried over, DLC content won't carry over and will need to be repurchased.
Season Passes Season Passes are bound to the first Destiny 2 account that a player logs in with after their purchase when accepting the “Cross Save Ready?” confirmation windows in Destiny 2, even if no characters have been created on it yet. Due to how Season Passes are applied to player accounts and characters, it's not possible to refund them or transfer them to another account. Make sure you are logging in to the correct account prior to accepting the Cross Save pop-up to ensure your Season Passes are correctly applied. ------------------------------------------------------------- DLC Licenses and Cross Save DLC licenses, such as Beyond Light or Shadowkeep, do not transfer between platform accounts with Cross Save. Players who wish to access DLC on platforms they play on will need to purchase that DLC on that platform.
If you'd like further information, we recommend reviewing our Cross Save Guide.
