I think making this game like other live service games is a mistake.

I truly think that making this game similar to other live service games instead of continuing to separate itself from them is a mistake. It seemed like the majority of the community(and Bungie) kind of agreed that temporary was bad. And yet we’re about to enter the era of temporary. Use temporary destination gimmick abilities while earning new gear with temporary buffs that you upgrade with a temporary resource to increase your new temporary power level. Repeat every content drop. And this is all fresh on the heels of the loss of meaningful bad luck protection that came with Revenant. I also truly believe that instead of being burned to the ground, crafting should have been balanced and expanded on in meaningful ways that make it fun and rewarding. That’s the feedback. This new direction for the game is a hard pass and it wasn’t even a hard decision. Even if it wasn’t a pass for me, the lack of interest for this new direction among my friends/clan is staggering and I would have next to no one to play with anyway.

  • It's set. And it will be shipped within a few weeks. Armor 3.0 sounds good on paper, but chances are there it will be reverted in a year, like so many other ideas too. If Bungie still exists till then. Destiny 2 is the only income for the company right now. Marathon is delayed indefinitely, like they said. In such a scenario, one doesn't change a product that much, like Bungie did. Just to be fair, I read agreement and opposite on Discord. Nevertheless, I see it as skeptical. They're back at the beginning. Power leveling and small packages. Like in year one. One doesn't have to comment on that further, except for the amount of resources all those cancelled IPs Bungie wasted over the years. Like so many here, I bought every expansion. Plus, I really like Destiny 2. But this time it's different. For me, Bungie's Rock 'n' Roll gets harder to ignore every year.
