Banned with no chance to have Bungie help me

Back a few months ago my Steam account was hacked. I was able to recover my account with the help of Steam. They took the time to investigate and help my recover and secure my account. Unfortunately, I did not know that they had Crossed Saved my Bungie account to an XBox account that is not mine. The XBox account caused the ban. I have the history and the proof I did not cause this ban. I don't even know what caused the ban other than my Bungie account was banned. I have been trying to appeal this but all they say is: [i]Thank you for taking the time to submit your appeal in Help Request 397075. After thoroughly reviewing the case details, your restriction will remain in place due to a breach of our policies. Unfortunately, we cannot provide specific details regarding the data that led to this decision or the duration of your restriction. Please remember that players are responsible for the security of their accounts. Appeals claiming that the account was not under the control of the player at the time of the violation will not be considered. [/i] Why won't they help a 10 year loyal player that has brough 100's of dollars of merch from them? I have bought all the expansions over all these years and nothing? Why won't they help me?

Appeals claiming that the account was not under the control of the player at the time of the violation will not be considered.[/quote] They know and accept that someone else may have done it, they're saying that the problem is, they did it on your account, which is your responsibility. You say your Steam got 'hacked' - how? Why you? Are you saying they just got into your account, without knowing your Steam login and password, email, personal details, etc? If so, then no one's account is ever safe - content creators, Bungie employees, etc. Bungie doesn't store those details, it didn't come from in-game. Did you re-use your login details on an insecure site, did you not have 2FA enabled, did you use a paid 'recovery' service, did you click on a scam link, etc. Can you honestly say the hack wasn't caused by your action or inaction? Because I know it sucks, and I totally get that you're the victim in this case - but that is the policy you agreed to, and the moment Bungie makes a policy exception for one person, every ban then will then get claimed to be due to a 'hack'.
