Dear Bungie Team,
I hope this message finds you well.I’m writing to respectfully request consideration for implementing gyro aiming and/or improved aim assist mechanics—similar to what's available in titles like Call of Duty—for console players.
As Destiny 2 supports crossplay between platforms, it's become increasingly clear that mouse and keyboard users have a noticeable advantage when it comes to precision aiming. This creates an imbalance in competitive modes and can be discouraging for many console players, especially in PvP.
Games like Call of Duty, Fortnite, and Apex Legends have addressed this by offering gyro aiming and more refined aim assist systems, which go a long way toward leveling the playing field. Implementing similar features in Destiny 2 could:
Improve the PvP experience for console players,
Help retain and even bring back lapsed players, and
Show Bungie's commitment to evolving with player expectations in a crossplay era.
I believe this change would be a huge quality-of-life improvement and make Destiny 2 more accessible and competitive for everyone.
Thank you for your continued work on such an amazing game. I hope you’ll consider this request for future updates.
Best regards,

Reticle friction and bullet magnetism isn't enough for you? 🤣
-
Precise aiming isn’t required in this game as the hitboxes are so big Controller is already an aimbot you don’t need more lol

Whenever I hear players ask for features on console that would mainly benefit M&K... I question their integrity

Edited by Myth: 6/19/2025 6:06:13 PMController already has plenty of aim assist and makes any tracking weapon way easier to use than on mnk. Idk why you think console players would be discouraged from playing pvp either since you only match pc players when in a fireteam with a pc player. Btw not all pc players are on mnk. Just look at Sayariu. He's on controller and he scares Wallah. (I think Wallah won like one out of ten 1v1s they played on stream.) Overall controller and mnk are pretty well balanced in D2 imo despite both sides crying the other input is op.

Do people really use gyro ? When it comes to mnk vs controller, they are pretty much equal. I believe at peak efficiency controller is better, look at sayariu reference as to how far you can take the controller input, he plays in pc lobbies

There's way too much aim assist
-
PC-players have a big advantage over console-players, indeed.
-
I would say just practice. Controller does not need more aim assist 💀

I say overall we need less AA as what’s the point of a shooter if the gun just hits all the time for you?
