If you aren't given the option to untrack it while hovering over it, then the alternative is unfortunately waiting to see if the launch of Edge of Fate fixes it. This isn't guaranteed to work and has ran into issues before, but Bungie introduced a change that was meant to forcibly untrack all tracked items at the beginning of each Episode/season. It'll just be a waiting game as they are still looking into the problem as a whole.
