Other posts have already raised this issue, but considering some have stated it's been going for more than 2 days without any acknowledgement, I wanted to put my own two-cents in.
I'm located in AUS, and have had a tough time trying to log in and play the game. Roommates are also facing the same issues. Most common errors are Centipede, Anteater, & Baboon. However, we also keep getting a long list of other errors - some I have never seen before.
We have done file verifications, uninstall & reinstalls, modem & router resets, cache clearing, and even power cycling. No changes have come from these steps. It has become clear it appears to be heavily affecting a lot - if not all - Australian players.
As returning players - and especially for me as someone who rarely gets time to play and had finally gotten the weekend to try and grind out activities - this is rather disappointing and means I have less time before the expansion to try and finish off everything, including the Season Pass.
It would be nice if these issues could actually be addressed instead of being ignored.

For additional information; our home internet is a TPG-owned network. However, we tried hotspotting on Telstra-based networks and we're still having the same issue.
So from what I'm learning, doing any activities solo or in a private Fireteam seems to be a little more stable. However, any public areas - such as Social Spaces, Patrol/Free Roam, or Matchmaking Activities - seem to start making the connection unstable and begin putting me through a loop of disconnections.
I've been able to do Private Fireteam activities with little issues, but anything public is still a problem.
Currently, we are either thinking this is a connection issue with Australia and Destiny servers, or it's an issue with the Australian NBN network as a whole.

Same issue here. Brisbane local playing on PC with TPG Internet. Can reach the character select screen but no further. This has been happening since approximately 6:30PM AEST, Friday the 13th of June.
