I’m writing this post out of sheer frustration and disappointment.
I’ve played Destiny 2 for over 12,000 hours. Yes, twelve thousand hours. That should be enough to show how much I care about this game. But now I’m genuinely starting to regret my dedication.
A couple of months ago, I was temporarily restricted from PvP due to alleged "network issues affecting other players." I didn’t agree with it, but I accepted it. However, during that restriction, I was completely locked out of PvP. I couldn't enter Crucible, couldn’t matchmake — nothing.
So imagine my shock when I found out my restriction was extended for another two months, again because of “network issues affecting other players.”
How is that even possible when I wasn’t able to play with anyone? How can I negatively impact others if I’m not allowed into PvP in the first place?
I immediately contacted Bungie support, and all I received was a vague, generic response repeating the same thing — that my network is still an issue. But what data are you using? Are you even investigating these cases properly?
Meanwhile, Crucible is currently filled with actual cheaters, lag switchers, and blatant hackers — and nothing seems to be done about them. But somehow I, a fair and committed player with over 12,000 hours in the game, am the one being punished again and again?
Your enforcement system is flawed. It’s punishing loyal, legitimate players based on unclear metrics, without explanation, and without recourse.
I’m asking for real answers:
What exactly is triggering these restrictions?
How can I be penalized while restricted and unable to play with others?
Why is the system targeting me but failing to address obvious abuse in PvP?
I’ve supported this game financially and emotionally for years. But this is not the way to treat a dedicated Guardian.
Please take this seriously and respond with more than just a copy-pasted line.
A Guardian who’s rapidly losing faith.
