Hand cannons have been a powerhouse for far to long now.
Long range and only needing 3 shots to kill and 2 with certain perks.
A 50% nerf is something that it so sorely needs, it would make it more balanced and open up for more options.

Id like to remind everyone of the revoker+gnawing hunger/summoner meta during shadowkeep, the peacekeeper+immortal nightmare in witch queen and lightfall, and elsie's rifle. I prefer what we have now with no competition

I think Rose needs some sort of nerf - I’d probably take lightweight off it - as it doesn’t let any other 140 legendaries in that slot. I’d also maybe make hawkmoon stacks a little harder to get - maybe it’s only precision hit and precision kills. Then I’d maybe adjust adagio to stop the 2 tap on 120’s and bring their range in a little.

With 140s requiring 100% accuracy, while the 180 & 120 arch-types have the highest TTK in the game among primary guns. As for the range, the 140 HC arch-type has aggressive damage fall off when shot outside of its range scalar(this was a change added in the last year). Now it may be the Adagio perk is performing slightly out of band on 120 HC. As its not so much Crimils Dagger's ability to 2 tap guardians, as it is the duration(7sec) and requirements. Golden Tricorn on Igneous Hammer also 2 taps, but it has a shorter duration and it must be played with the solar subclass. Its these extra conditions Igneous Hammer has that Crimils Dagger does not, potentially pushing Crimils Dagger exclusively with the Adagio perk out of band within the PvP sandbox. Otherwise they are fine.

HC's should be a close to mid ranged weapon, nerf the range.

Without being funny, a nerf to hand cannons would technically make them the worst archetype in the game. Autos, pulses, even side arms can kill quicker. Only benefit to HC is the peak shoot advantage. On console/ controller peak shooting is not great though.

Hand cannos by defualt have worse ttk than pulse rifles, autos, smgs and sidearms. Clearly a skill issue.

I don't like Handcannons, and think they are hard to counter, especially when it comes to things like peaking But I would be a hypocrite to use that terrible word, I don't believe in nerfing period, you should balance, not cut down everything good Leave Handcannons alone, and buff SMG's and Autos!!!

In actual combat, you simply do not bring hand cannons, to a rifle fight, it's pure nonsense, I hate HCs. They don't work in PVE, either, you don't have the range of pulses, or scouts, if you are not relying on your abilities to clear. On a side note, I do like a nice hand canon, the ones in the game however, do not really strike my fancy all that much. I would be motivated to play hand cannons more in PVE, if we had dual wielded ones.

1. The most cheaters use hand cannons. 2. The most PC users use hand cannons. It's much easier to peak aim, slide and shoot on a PC. On console you basically don't stand a chance against a PC player.

Soo...you want hcs to take more than 3 hs to kill.. You realize it would turn them into the worst and slowest ttk in the game by far right ? Every weapon have a 1second ttk in the worst case. And you want hc to reach almost 2 seconds ? XD

I counter HCs all the time with khovostov or an Aisha’s care all day, you just gotta play smart, stay in your weapons intended range, and don’t peek a lane where the hc user can peak shoot you lol. The only nerfs I think HCs really should get is a slight reduction in flinch resistance when sliding, and a reduction in AA as I’m hit some shots that left me like wondering how I even hit that.
