Only posting this to explain why I've stopped playing, and Bungie doesn't have a contact form so... here's my feedback:
I've been a D1 and D2 player since both games came out. I have every content expansion for D2 and played all the way up until Rite of the Nine when I dropped off. Usually I'd be back in for that, and would have pre-ordered the next expansion. Unfortunately, not anymore.
I'm just too over the grind in this game to keep playing. If you ever announce a change to allow loot, all loot, to be acquired in some deterministic way, eg the return of global crafting and quest-lines to earn raid and dungeon exotics, I would love to return.
My favorite moments in Destiny are playing new content for the first time, progressing through the story, and build-crafting. Re-running the same activity over and over again in the hopes of getting something with zero indication of progress is just extremely boring now. I need to feel like I'm making progress towards a goal if I'm going to have fun spending a ton of time in the same activities. Otherwise it feels like a total waste to just roll the dice again.
I want to feel that anticipation of getting a drop again, to feel the anticipation of unlocking a new exotic to enable new builds to try out. Rolling the 5% die every time, or a 10% die, or whatever it is if you achieve all the insane triumph scores, is not enjoyable. It's defeating. And I'm content to say I've lost interest until that changes.
Hope to see you again later.

Edited by Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 6/15/2025 2:14:59 PMSupposedly this is what most players wanted. 🤷♂️ I don’t believe that of course, but that’s what the streamers and no lifers will say. The apathy that set in when they walked back crafting already significantly reduced my play time. I already had dungeon apathy for this reason, but I didn’t even finish Heresy. First time ever not finishing content that I paid for. First time not finishing a season pass. They absolutely should have balanced and expanded on crafting in meaningful ways that made it more rewarding so that it could have been extended throughout the whole game instead of just burning it to the ground. This return to rigid RNG and these coming leveling and looting changes just reek of artificiality. They decided to address apathy and burnout with more grind, more RNG, and more rigidity when it comes to accessibility. This is the most artificial and least compelling way imaginable to deal with apathy and burnout. I uninstalled the game and am done as well. Gotta love seeing people act like looters sole purpose is to chase loot instead of actually using what you want. They shoot themselves in the foot when they chase everyone away with this tryhard level of RNG. Can this game survive by catering to the streamers and no lifers? I personally think making this game similar to other comparable live service games instead of continuing to separate itself from them is a big mistake. Guess we’ll find out.
