Thorn should be given more range, in today’s meta 70+ range is best on a handcannon,
Come on bungie

I disagree, it can compete with any other handcannon pretty equally if not better. the DoT makes up for the lack of range for the most part, and the remnants make it a 2 tap machine at the highest, and the mist forgiving hc in the game at the lowest. I think if you’re holding a lane at damage falloff range with a hc you shouldn’t be holding that lane

Thoughts on mag increase on thorn from 9 to 12?
-
The catalyst had it at the perfect range before of course people whined and Bungie nerfed it.

No, Handcannons do not need more range -
an exotic hand cannon that gets extra damage that can be further increased with the right cheesy build > heeeeeyyyyyyyyyyllllll NO ...forget other weapons what becomes of other 140 hand cannons? Like Midnight Coup, Fatebringer, Better Dev, Exalted..etc if you go through with that? Thorn feels frikkin excellent to use.. even right now in a good players hands kinda oppressive.. these exotics like Ace, Hawkmoon..etc... they need to be held in check always. ALL WAYS. I'll always downvote anyone asking for a PVP exotic buff.. Always no exception. Branch out,, use the whole array of weapons. You will enjoy it.

Honestly, I think they need to move 140 Hand Cannons to 145 or 150 rpm if they’re going to keep pulse rifles, autos and everything else’s TTK faster. Seems like everything has out powered 140 HC’s after being tuned.

Edited by WinterSolstice: 5/29/2025 10:06:43 AMI know this is pvp talk but I'd also like it if the poison got a pve buff. Like rn the poison without the perk is so weak it barely damages red bars. And even when you get the perk it still struggles with anything above red bars or a red bar with a shield. And in comparison to the other poison weapons except Touch (Even Osteo which itself needs a buff) it just isn't as good. Even if you add necrotic it still only becomes a decent weapon. It still struggles with majors and shields and the ad-clearing is still worse than other weapons.

Edited by Ghostfire239: 5/29/2025 7:40:17 AMHonestly, all I want is for the remnants to move to the player quicker. This things often just slowly crawls to you and will often just get caught in walls. Hell sometimes it just sits in place no matter how close you are to it.

Players are going to whine about dot damage and forget about all the healing in the game (pepega). Sure and bungie needs stop being lazy and fix 140s hc stats.
-
They need to fix it with necrotic grips. Kills from thorn’s poison don’t spread poison, but kills on an enemy poisoned by thorn does spread poison. How does that make sense? I haven’t a clue.

Yes. Lumina too

Agreed. Feels bad to use without the perk active. I would also want higher stability and less vfx which would help on controller. If you flick it’s more manageable but hard to use when tracking. I flick on controller but it’s still not great
-
I agree, too. I think buffing both Lumina and Thorn would be cool.

Thorn is my child yes

Yeah there was no reason to reduce the range on it
