Different Dungeons should have been used for ROTN

I am not here to hate on ROTN, I know it is getting a lot of flak this week. However, I think this was really a missed opportunity to use different dungeons for this event. I know everyone loves Prophecy, but the weapons from there relatively recently had a refresh back in Season of the Wish just before TFS. I feel like Pit of Heresy, Grasp of Avarice, and Duality really could have gotten some love.

  • Ghost and Spire are fine choices since their weapons aren't enhancable. Prophecy is a bad choice. I get that it's thematic for next season, but we literally JUST got a reprise of the weapons right before final shape. Shattered throne would be a no go for me since we already have a bunch of versions of dreaming city weapons Pit would be an okay choice since the weapons have never been relevant, but honestly, I don't think anyone would care about apostate, blasphemer, heretic, or premonition Grasp of avarice would be a good choice. People like eyasluna more than Judgment, hero of ages would probably be meh, matador could easily get the same rolls as the prophecy SG would, and 1000 yd would probably also be meh Duality is in my opinion the best choice, the weapons are well liked, unforgiven and stormchaser were both very popular picks at some point, lingering dread is okay, and the pulse is pretty much equivalent to the prophecy strand pulse

  • I would have preferred a revamp of Shattered Throne, Pit, and Grasp honestly. While Shattered Throne is not really a true dungeon in todays standards, since it plays more like an extended strike than a dungeon, it could have been reworked, added a specific mechanics system for it like all other dungeons have. In addition have loot made specifically for the dungeon, since it just shares the loot pool of the Dreaming City, which despite having an update, is not enhanceable (kind of bitter about that, in addition to removal of the perk that I wanted for Vouchsafe). The loot in general for Throne and Pit is a complete joke. Other than when its a pinnacle early in the season, nobody runs those anymore. Elsie killed Premonition in every way (stats and perk table), and the armor no longer drops fully masterworked, and that was the only dungeon specific weapon, since all other weapons are base moon weapons. Dont get me wrong, I do like both of those dungeons, which is why I definitely would have preferred an overhaul on them to make them relevant today. I feel that this was a missed opportunity to do more than just a limited event.

  • Since I doubt Bungie would release new weapons I'd probably would've preferred Grasp. Especially since they're already doing Ghorn's catalyst due to Prophecy's lack of an exotic (It technically had Ruinous's catalyst but they changed that after Beyond Light launched as it was only part of the catalyst quest)
