Put a high-school student up against someone from the UFC and see if the student wants to continue with the fight. Similarly, some players don't want to stick around for 10 mins of -blam!--kicking in the crucible. Don't blame the fighter. Blame the organizer who arranged the fight. Also, some people are so terrible and only feed kills. It's better that they leave to give you a chance. Just 2 thoughts to broaden your perspective. I absolutely hate the idea of punishing your players for poor game design (in this case, the matchmaking). A bigger problem is PvE players thinking they can join a match and do nothing, hoping to reach the end just for the rewards. Imagine a PvP player joining your raid and screwing everything up. Bet you'd kick them. Should we ban people for leaving raids, or dungeons? Look, it's life. Some people will quit out of frustration, others because they have kids to pick up or work to do. Just suck it up and move on. Don't start asking Bungie for stupid penalties which will make this game die even faster.

no i think they should take 10,100,1000 rank from people who quit and then force them to only go against ascendant 0 players when they do matchmake.
