Whoever came up with the idea that a tank hitting a brig in the legs would blow up the tank never drove a tracked vehicle. The tank is a slow moving brick; how do you hurt a brick? Tanks were a development from bulldozers - i.e., they are designed to push things without taking damage. The legs of a brig are it's weakest point; the legs are fragile compared to the rest of it. Since the tank turret turns so slowly, and the rockets themselves travel like molasses in January, a brig has the advantage of being able to casually walk away from the shot. What a joke.
