Title says it all.
Not to mention them trying to squeeze money out of their players by giving us a new vehicle type for either grinding a boring uninspired waste of time actitivity to gain 15 "event pass" levels or simply spend some money :)
I am legit out of words at this point. GG.

1 ReplyThey should just have brought back Combined Arms as people have literally asked for for years! But no, "we bumgie, we wamt mech fights!" Devs, you are developing the game FOR US, not for yourself. If you can't get the content right you want to make, then at least give players exactly what they ask for.

Whilst I think it's a failure, I want them to keep experimenting. Vehicle combat has NEVER been a Bungie strong point, so why they chose to lean into it I will never comprehend (especially given how the rest of the industry uses actual tank controls instead of bodged player controls, bar Halo which is using Bungie's system as a legacy of being Bungie-made). But they do need to do something, and I applaud them for taking the time to try and inject some pure fun back into the game. Again, this time it failed, but that doesn't mean I want them to stop; just not to commit any more resources to Heavy Metal in particular (IMO it needs vehicle systems across the entire game to be redone, and that's far too much undertaking for this mode plus a few gimmick sections of the campaign).

Worst part is it's only around for a week. While we're in the middle of another limited timed event, Rite of the Night. I get that everyone probably has their Spire clears in, but you better have Heavy Metal done before reset.
