My biggest pain points with the competitive playlist

These are my biggest issues with the competitive playlist, in no particular order: - The movement system is incompatible with the current map designs. Corridors feel awkwardly sized, ceilings and barriers are inconsistent in their placements, and there are plenty of small environment details that improve the art direction but negatively impact gameplay; - There is a significant skill gap within the active PvP population. The skill disparity between someone in Silver and someone in Platinum is enormous, yet these two ranks can match with/against each other; - The loot reward scheme further accentuates the skill gap, with higher ranks being rewarded more, despite the fact that those -blam!- those ranks often devalue the loot because they already have the weapons and armor they need; - The game is inherently not competitively fair due to the P2P networking rewarding bad connections: lag switching is a problem I’ve encountered, where someone’s connection suddenly degrades at oddly convenient times (mostly in Trials, where they resurrect their teammates while the last one alive on their team), but also just people who have unstable connections and end up rubber-banding around, making gunfights with them very frustrating; - The sheer amount of cheaters, both rage cheaters (flying, wall hacking, insta-killing etc.) and soft cheaters (usually boosting their own aim assist, they just can’t seem to miss no matter how much I flinch them) - it's gotten better, but there's still room for improvement; - The most effective play styles are poking (playing passively and trading damage until one side can secure a kill), death balling (grouping together and team shooting to achieve faster TTKs), K/D playstyles (where someone does anything possible to avoid dying, sometimes to the detriment of their own team because they don’t participate on the objective at all), and cheese builds (RDMs with hipfire grip + archer’s gambit bows, harsh refraction slice trace rifles, etc.). I’d type out my solutions to each of these problems, but the post is already pretty long. I can write them down later if the PvP strike team wants to hear them. Good luck to you guys, whatever you’re up to! 🫡
