Xbox/MS Store cross save not working

Earlier today I connected my xbox account to my bungie account. Upon launching destiny 2 through the microsoft store I was prompted to make a new character instead of seeing my list of already existing characters. When I was linking my account earlier I did get an authentication error, however there's nothing asking me to verify or authenticate my xbox account on the cross play page. Because of the recent change to cross save i'm unable to unlink my xbox account and try again after the 90 day period. For reference I also connected my epic games account today just to test and my characters were available so maybe something went wrong in the connecting process?

    The fact it didn't weasel you on the Xbox PC edition of it after loading Steam would mean that either the wrong account is linked or something went wrong during the process of adding it to cross-save. BNGHelp will likely reply later after checking your setup. [quote]Because of the recent change to cross save i'm unable to unlink my xbox account and try again after the 90 day period.[/quote] You are still able to deactivate cross-save, but this would mean for 90 days you'd be locked to playing on Steam to use your characters. Your PS/Epic would lose access to your characters. This is likely the thing that Bungie are going to mention doing.
