Pre order bonuses
I see a lot of players recommend pre-ordering, get the pre order bonuses and then immediately refund the purchase to keep new land beyond and the armor ornaments. This seams very fraudulent but has bungie stated anything official

It would be more a matter of whatever platform you buy the items on going through the whole thing of claiming it's being done for fraudulent reasons. Bungie obviously does have every right to remove the items from players or take other action against people doing that, though.
