Suggestions For Weapon sys Overhaul

Hello there, I’ve been playing Destiny 2 for a few years now, and I’ve seen how weapons have evolved and improved. But there’s always felt like something was missing. We have weapon crafting, leveling systems, and now upcoming changes to the armor system—but I think it’s time we rework how weapon rolls drop. Hear me out. Right now, we have legendary, exotic, and adept weapons, plus craftable weapons with advanced rolls. With the upcoming changes, I suggest we separate the weapon from its roll entirely. Imagine this: higher-tier activities could reward just the advanced rolls—not the full weapon. As for the weapons themselves, higher-difficulty content could also reward better base versions—say, with more middle perk slots. Maybe cap it at three. This would bring back value to mods, especially if we introduced “advanced mods” as well. These advanced mods wouldn’t drop fully formed; instead, we could earn blueprints from activities, then craft them over time in the Enclave using resources. If these ideas sound good, let me know—I'm still brainstorming!
