Help needed! I’m rank 4 currently and to get to rank 5 I have to do a vanguard ops and commend my teammates, but I can’t match make or post for a fireteam until I’m rank 5 so I’m stumped, anyone dealt with this before?

You should not need to use fireteam finder. Just join any vanguard ops playlist that has matchmaking and commend other players at the end of the mission screen.
