Anyone else having contact destiny servers
As the title says, it’s been happening for almost a week now also the error messages when posting
Edit: I can’t even login in to light gg and dim half the time. No matter where in the game I get contacting destiny servers. I thought originally it was for this week update and back ground maintenance. But if this is happening because Marathon is up what were they thinking running it on the same sever? Destiny can barely hold it self up🩼. Imagine having to pay for a dedicated sever that’s supposedly the same sever destiny uses but for free and with the same problems 💀

Yup, just got 2 wheasel error codes within 10 minutes, kicked me out to the main log in screen 🙃 It's definitely not my connection either, my WiFi is great. Hopefully this doesn't last too long.

This is why after ten years I'm not pre ordering edge of insanity. Cause I know nothing changes . Every week, every event something doesn't work as intended. It's tiresome . I didn't even start the right of nine. Just a hunch that something will be wrong with it

I tried to upvote but got error message “too many requests coming in at this time”… so I went to play a little & kept getting “contacting servers”… someone on the fireteam tried to use DIM for a weapon but it wasnt working… then I DC’d so I went to check RaidReport to see if I got a red dot & it said “Bungie is having traffic issues”… I came back to refresh Bungie.net & leave a comment, but got a new error “you must reach a minimum light level to use this feature. I refreshed again & had to sign in 3 times in order to successfully leave this comment.

1 ReplyIt's going to be happening more as we get closer to the update in June.. july... It's because the new content is being loaded onto servers that have been removed from the game. This way we can migrate over to the new content.. Which means more latency and more big issues.. at least until Bungie starts reinvesting our money from destiny back into destiny.

Luckily, I haven't had "Contacting Destiny Servers", but it's been super laggy. Also, I can't get any of the third-party apps to work for me. I also get tons of error messages when trying to use the forums.

Yes, getting it lots, and these forums are giving me errors constantly, all started after marathon alpha launch.

Occasionally, specifically right before matchmaking for a pvp match completes, not before or during, just at that moment it finds the last player.

Same, but they'll just say to check your connection until they fix whatever is causing it on their end. It happens often and it's always the fault of the player's connection until they get enough complaints to fix it. I'm guessing they're doing a lot of testing for Marathon and don't have the server capacity to support both.
