Rite of the Nine - Spire of Watcher not completing quest
Dear Bungie team,
Spire of Watcher on Explore (matchmade) seems to be bugged - did full run (completed all encounters) but it did not count Perys, Primordial defeated in both First Watch quest and Elegant Arsenal - also no damage numbers were shown at the end.

Xbox, completed rotn spire of the watcher explorer private. Had 1 of the “Foiled again” quests complete. One weapon (wilderflight shiny) went to post master and credit for the wilderflight quest was not given. The wilderflight weapon sent to post master received 0 light level. Long arm quest did recieve credit for completing quest. Quest completed roughly 10:30pm cst 5/9/2025. It appears that if weapons get sent to post master the quest and credit is not recieved. Where if it does not go to post master credit is recieved.

How do you think they did that other than "just getter dun *disables persys loot drops*" Edit: Actually, since the quest rewards are guaranteed to be shiny, it's no wonder progression isn't given for persys on explorer. Quit complaining you didn't get free loot and do the dungeon with the new mechanics.

3 RepliesI love that Bungie's response was can you upload a video. I'm happy to upload a video as soon as they sign a 1099 contract and pay me do their QA/QC work for them. All this on the day they want us to drop $100 on a new expansion. Why trust a full expansion if you can't get a quest right? If you can't run it to test it yourself? If you have to require your player base to do the QA/QC work for you.

I hate Spire, but did it for the first time all the way through. Several hours of boring grind of a terrible design for nothing. Not buying Edge of Fate as a big thank you.

The game tells you that it does NOT give you quest progress on explore mode

I ran solo on Explore about 6 times. The last time I ran it I got the update. The only thing I did different on that run was pick up the two collectables on that run.

Just finished Explorer/Solo about 15 minutes ago. No loot from the chests on the final boss.

I want to give them the benifit of the doubt... but man you keep testing my love of this game. 3rd step for me as well not completing... and a bunch of the activity bounties are not completing themselves. ( RL kills, Glaive kills, ect ) i've tried all rite of the nine activities... and nothing

Same for me and 2 others in the clan. Solo or group and the boss doesn't count.

Just beat it on ultimatum and same thing…no progress on the quests. Have a new spot where a chest is but says I can’t grab it because dungeon isn’t completed

I have a screenshot of the ending screen showing 0 Damage/kills/orbs created/precision kills, which is wildly inaccurate, along with a screenshot of the still locked reward chest. It's a shame. First dungeon i have ever managed to complete. A frustrating and annoying POS at that, and I get no rewards for it. Great Job Bungie.

Yeah, I ran it on Matchmade, and then the one more difficult than that and still no credit for the Persys encounter. This stuff should be tested no? Bring it back, have 2 quests to finish all encounters and it doesn’t work? Wtf?

Sure glad I've learned my lesson and won't pre-order anything from Bungie when all they do is rug-pull us with broken updates. This has gotten old. We are not your QA/QC team!

I wouldn't hold out much hope on a fix when they still haven't fixed the broken quest from months ago that unlocks the second, bonus perks in the artifact.

Same Issue. Full run solo & currently on the "Mission End" screen but neither First Watch quest nor Elegant Arsenal quest counted Perys.

Same here.. completed it solo, it says 0 damage on final boss.

We're sorry to hear of this, as we can imagine how this would have impacted your experience. If this issue persists, then could you kindly record a video which demonstrates what you're experiencing? Once you have a video, you can upload it to a site like Youtube, and we'll investigate this further.
