New to Destiny
Hey guys looking forward to meeting many new guardians. As the title suggests I’m new to the Destiny 2 community. I recently downloaded the game since it’s free and wanted to try something new. Does any have guides or know what steps I should take in terms of quest/raids and strikes I’ll be able to have access to as a free to play account. Thank you so much have a wonderful day.

The game is on its last leg to be honest. It’s been out for around 8 years and Bungie isn’t making anymore expansions. I don’t even think you can get some of the first expansions anymore but I could be wrong. Just play the campaigns. There are guides on YouTube but if you are new I wouldn’t even touch Raids. The D2 community is very unforgiving to put it in a nice way and would boot you. Don’t sink a lot of money into the game because I personally do not think it will be around but for maybe a year or two more tops.

Okay listen closely Pve is great. Especially if you buy all the expansions that are real cheap. Dont I repeat DONT go into the players vs player.

Edited by CORPERATE COMMANDER: 5/4/2025 10:47:10 PMGet your wallet out anything worth doing in d2 is behind a paywall and most players that will play with you that are left will have access to content even strikes that you do not. .Exotics and weapons are locked behind paywall .campaigns behind paywall .trials behind a paywall .some strikes behind a paywall .seasonal stuff behind paywall .subclasses behind paywall .some raids behind paywalls .lastly even if you buy the dlcs most of the content you pay for has been removed also you will still need to pay for dungeon keys for access to the dungeons about $20 each unless you pay for destiny 2 deluxe which gives you everything but when the next dlc this year releases alot of content you paid for will be removed and you will have to pay for deluxe again or dlcs, seasons and dungeon keys etc (the cycle begins again) But best of luck guardian ,just thought you should know the ins an outs on how d2 works

There’s not a whole lot you can do with f2p unfortunately, but you can access certain nightfalls, normal and competitive crucible (not trials tho), the VoG and Kings Fall raids, The Prophecy dungeon, and all patrol zones except for the pale heart. If you play routinely and grind your -blam!- off you’ll get good enough stuff to actively do the harder stuff like nightfalls and the above mentioned raids and dungeon. You also need people to play with or at minimum a mic/discord to do raids.
