Description: Musketeer would resemble a civil-war era musket which would function as sniper-glaive hybrid that uses primary ammo and deals kinetic damage. It would have a magazine size of 1, with low range, slow reload, and lack the glaives sheild but could be aimed. Musketeer would have a range of 40 meters, with heavy damage falloff, but still capable of an ohk at 50 meters.
Intrinsic Perk: Aim and Fire
-This weapon uses primary ammo and deals bonus crit damage. (Vs guardians -275 crit damage, 120 body damage) Additionally, firing the weapon creates a lingering cloud of smoke that impairs vision and slow enemies who pass through it.
Exotic Perk: Fixed bayonet
-While equipped, you melee is replaced with a glaive 3 hit combo. Melee kills reload the weapon.
Catalyst:
-Blunt execution rounds + 1-2 Punch. Melee hits would briefly buff your next shot, while dealing ranged damage would briefly buff your melee damage.
Thoughts?
Personally I've always thought an exotic muzzleloader would be cool and given military muskets would have filled a similar niche as glaive (in game) I think it would be an interesting design to combine a close range sniper with a glaive, that takes primary ammo. Especially since New Land Beyond is supposedly going to take special ammo.
Exotic Concept: Pistol: An object that combines a gun and a spear. Description: Sniper Musket is a very rare type of Glaive that was commonly designed to be used as a Civil War rifle. Magazine weight 1, short range, slow loading, no tomb shield but can be requested, and the mucket has a range of 40 meters, even with high damage it is still 50 meters. Intrinsic Perk: memory and fire -This weapon deals damage through multiple arrows. (Defender-275 critical damage; 120 Physical damage) In addition, artillery reduces manpower and restricts enemy movement. Exotic Perk: Bayonet inserted. When equipped, replaces melee attacks with three-headed attacks. Reloads weapons of those killed in combat with the Brigar. Catalyst: -Evil in seven + 1-2. Melee damage increases your fire damage, while attack damage increases rack damage. Thoughts? Personally, I think the tongue biter would be better, and I wish it was packed full of weapons like Glebe. (in game) If you want to get your hands dirty, you have to do it right. By the way, the New Overworld will come with a special weapon.
