Should any exotics get stat buffs with the upcoming enhancement update?
So assuming the 5 tier enhancement system will affect all enhancable weapons (enhanced barrels, mags, and origin traits/ stocks/ barrels), we can reasonably expect more than a few weapons to get sizeable buffs due to this. Enhanced perks all offer either:
* Buffs to the perk itself, such as bonus precision damage on precision instrument.
* Longer durations, such as Rampage.
* Faster activation/ build up such as Recombination or Perpetual Motion.
* +5 to certain stats, such as stability for Zen Moment.
* Or iirc, reduced negatives such as Gutshot Straight.
Either this new system is just a more tame/ silent sunsetting, or it's power creep. Because if current weapons will be affected too, it would probably just make more sense to give the associated buffs to all the affected perks. I'm of the opinion that I don't think we need all these stat monsters becoming bigger, especially when this would just further invalidate stat/ perk nerfs to exotics if the weapons themselves didn't already do that like I've mentioned in a previous post comparing Thorn's stat nerfs from S22 to all the meta hand cannons of today.
If current weapons will be included, then I could reasonably expect a weapon like what I consider my best roll for Rose to have it's range and stability increased as high as 89 and 93, or what is arguably my best roll for Palindrome to go up to 94 range when it already has 93 stability while I'm on void, not including if a stat boost is applied to the origin trait on that.
Kind of hard to justify nerfs to the stats of several weapons like the aforementioned Thorn or how their recoil works like on Redrix Death if players can reasonably expect monsters like this rolling around. Or when it would effectively just revert nerfs to the mist used/ complained gun right now.
