I recently linked my epic account to cross-save, which is reflected as such here on my cross-save settings but when I launch the game the cross-save icon is not present on the character select screen above the character list and it made me create a new character. It does have the correct bungie ID for the cross-save characters e.g. name#1234 but only displays the newly created character. My cross save characters are still listed as active and if I launch with ps5 or steam they are still selectable. It's as if the cross play characters won't load only on epic.
One issue I did have is I had to retry multiple times when authenticating at the end of the linking process, it kept failing over and over and never actually completed, I eventually refreshed the page and it showed the epic account linked in cross-play without authentication ever completing so I think this is the problem. Is there any way to force authentication again without having to deactivate and reactivate cross-save completely, which would necessitate the ridiculous THREE MONTH waiting period for it to reactivate??
