Cannot unlink Steam
Have an old and deleted Steam account linked to cross-save, am trying to link new account but I need to "authenticate" my old account to do so - the thing is, I can't because that steam account no longer exists.
It's impossible to raise a ticket with Bungie - anyone got any ideas on how to get around this convoluted system which for some reason didn't "authenticate" my account when i originally logged in and set it up years ago.

You cant. Bungie removed the option to unlink all/any platform game accounts on March 25. Even before then, you needed to authenticate the account through the platform provider to unlink. So you couldn’t do prior to then unless Steam restored the account.
