Connecting with new lights

The fireteam finder needs a guide tab so veterans can find new lights and help them. in old when I was bored id find new players and help them it's very difficult now. The fireteam finder is not good for this. On boarding is a big issue here with a aging and burnt out player here with the huge disconnect from content creators of now and the current player base. I am a veteran but I am not the hardcore I'm just a fan. This is how we keep new life by focusing on the small and not the big. So getting intermediates like me to help foster new players. Is important..

About once a month I post in XBL LFG with an offer to assist New Lights. Help them prioritize what they need to accomplish & generally pass off a build they are unknowingly sitting on. New Lights have no direction regarding what they need to accomplish. Any New Lights -blam!- this, CHASE Rank 6. You're missing Armor Mods without Rank 6. Likewise, run out your 'Learning Light' Missions with Ikora, & prioritze obtaining ALL the Aspects, Fragments & Abilities from Ikora in the Tower. You'll also want to complete the opening mission(s) of 'The Witch Queen' in order to gain access to Weapon Crafting, the SINGLE most important economy in the game. You'll feed your crafting systems with Enhancement Cores, which you can obtain through Banshee's daily bounties, in addition to your Ghost Mod, which will provide Cores for completing Ritual Activities (ie Vanguard Ops, Crucible, Gambit). BUT you do not have this Ghost Mod until you're Rank 6, so once again, CHASE RANK 6 !!! Too many of them fixate on getting their Light up. It simply isn't a priority, given how Light now scales with the highest member of the Fireteam. IF you're looking for an activity that will yield some passable, useful gear early, jump into Dare's of Eternity. Learn how to Sword Skate with a Dare's Sword that has the Eager Edge Perk. This will enable faster movement to complete activities with greater ease. The Shotgun from Dare's is a decent Starter for Titan Melee builds, while the Trace Rifle has fantastic Utility. The Grenade Launcher has a variety of uses, from Blinding Utility to DPS rotation potential for Dungeon/Raid Bosses. The BXR Pulse Rifle has some nice Synergy for Solar Builds, in addition to being a strong PVP weapon. Dare's is where New Lights should live until they build their arsenal up, which will better enable their builds for more meaningful activities. Once you hit Rank 6 & have a few decent weapons & builds at your disposal, THEN you want to pursue newer campaigns, Dungeons, Raids, NFs & competitive PVP. Prematurely jumping into Campaigns & Endgame will likely result in frustration & uninstalling. Endgame is what the community prioritizes, BUT there are multiple barriers between New Lights & Endgame that have NOTHING to do with your Light Level. Yet to the New Light, they see the Light requirement/recommendation & make that priority #1. That isn't the case.
