Can bungie like… make an app for marathon? I don’t want marathon updates getting dumped on our app. Not even gonna trash marathon as much as I’d love to. Just don’t want to view marathon content on the app labeled destiny 2. Feels like a pretty fair ask :|

From what I can gather in this thread is people are probably fed up seeing a Marathon advertisement on the top part of bungie.net and that they want to navigate to Destiny 2. The current website layout throws me off too, with a bit of frustration trying to find and navigate to Destiny 2 section. The “forum” is located in the Destiny 2 section whilst when you load up bungie.net, you can’t unsee the Marathon portion.

It's also a website, which also houses Marathon information, and it all feeds the app. They only have one forum. And it's free advertising. I suggest consulting a bridge builder.

I thought it was called Halo 3 -
The app is linked to Bungie.net https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/264728531?sort=0&page=0 put this in your web browser and see where you end up.

Lol it’s the Bungie forums. Posting Marathon updates under Bungie News would be expected. The hate is real haha.

That's nothing, my local butcher started selling bbq sauce on the side and I'm outraged, I don't want to see sauce content at the store labelled meat... that's how ridiculous you sound. Just don't look at the sauce (Marathon) bro, it isn't hard.

I’m not on an app… I’m on Bungie.net. The menu has 3 subcategories… one for D2, one for Marathon, and then one for Community. The forums are in community.

They won’t make an app for ten people 🤣

Edited by Northern: 5/1/2025 5:50:55 AMMarathon gets discord, as it won't have enough players to justify a dedicated app.

The destiny 2 companion app links back to bungie.net. This place has existed, as bungie.net, since long before that app did. Unless they completely seperate the companion app from bungie.net, and believe me, I'd be happy if they did, then you'll continue to see marathon content and news updates.

It used to just be the Bungie Mobile App.
-
I wanted to downvote Marathon for getting in my way when trying to use a Destiny app. Lol

“They didn’t make Marathon for destiny players, they wanted to reach a different audience” 🤡🌎

I think at the very least they should make a new forum category for Marathon. It ought to get its own app, but unless Sony brings in new talent I don't think Bungie has the staffing to keep two apps up and running.
-
Have you seen this app? Third party apps are wildly better at inventory management, and reddit of all places has a better managed destiny community. So, yeah, honestly, probably not.

As this app goes to the Bungie.net forums I’ve always thought it should have been called the Bungie app. It kinda made sense previously as it was all about Destiny/Destiny 2 but as they’re now introducing Marathon I think this app should be renamed to Bungie and a Marathon section created under Bungie.net. But Bungie don’t appear to want to do that and seem to want to use Discord instead so 🤷♀️
