Maybe scrap it and focus on the game that could be and should have been one of the best ever made. Most of the pieced off people in here are only that way because you ruined and abandoned something we loved.

Edited by Dooodley: 4/30/2025 9:45:15 AMBack in the halo days I would have thought that they were holding back in the test phases - just to blow everyone's mind when it finally launched. Because surely this can't be it, right? However, ever since Destiny 1 was launched its become more and more apparent that Bungie isnt what it used to be. It's now a company of wasted time and lost resources. It's quite astonishing how little they manage to produce with the resources they have - or at least had. So, yeah, Marathon will probably not be much different from what they've presented thus far - in other words something that more resembles a game mode in an existing game, rather that an actual game. Add to this that no one in their current playerbase asked for it, extraction shooters in general are kind of niche, it's not true to the original (which only like 5 out of their current players have played anyway), rumor has it that it's a terrible experience without friends to play with at all times and the reception has been lukewarm at best - even from the creators who would finacially benefit from pushing the project and staying in Bungie's graces. In my opinion, the only reason Marathon should ever exist would be to act as misdirection for an upcoming D3 announcement. Odds of that happening? Slim to none.
