Invis, RDM, and another Redrix nerf incoming.

https://www.reddit.com/r/CrucibleGuidebook/comments/1ka4h1x/invisrdmredrix_nerf_incoming/ Well, knowing Bungie, it's going to either go in the wrong direction or it's going to nerf a lot of these hard. Invis didn't really become a common complaint on here until AFTER they added On The Prowl (invis for killing a specific target) and reworked RDM so you could store up to 15-21 seconds or so of invis at a time, not including OTP or staying in the cloud to delay the countdown. So it sounds to me it's not invisible that's the problem, but that they added in too many ways to effectively get it for free. As for Redrix, it's at base stat-wise, inferior to the BXR in all but stability, aerial effectiveness, and reload, 2 of those stats are a negligible difference at worst. I get it's still the most used primary in pvp, but how much of that is because it's actually THAT good, how much of it is because they ave everyone a borderline god roll, and how much of it is because of the slot? Even the absolute best roll for it if we go by light.gg only beats the BXR in range, everything else on the BXR is either already higher or will basically be equal with Perpetual Motion active. If they nerf it any more, it would just make more sense to make Redrix craftable. Not to mention if the incoming 5 tier enhancement system actually will let us enhance barrels, magazines, and even origin traits. Because if so, we can easily expect all eligible weapons (which I'd expect most available weapons, especially comp, craftables, and weapons with adept variants to be included) to get anywhere from +2-5 to the stat boosts on each enhanced perk or for the stat reductions on to be reduced by as much. Effectively making some weapons like Rose stronger (my best roll probably going up to 89 range and 93 stability) and others effectively just reverting previous nerfs anyway like on Redrix. Yay?

  • Seems that they didn’t hit it as badly as everyone wanted… but instead said “just give it to everyone”

    • They should have been disabled a long time ago until fixed......strange bungie sucks at their job of ever making a change and fixing things.

Redrix is only popular because it's stupid easy to get, and bungie gave everyone a god roll for free. The fact that people still haven't learned to outplay it shows that no matter what bungie does to it, they're still gonna complain, cus they're garbage. That aside, RDM definitely need to be nuked. Idk why bungie ever thought this change would be good for the game, but y'know. They don't actually play test

Not a fan of nerfing. Took me ages to get Khvostov. Simply didn’t have the time to do all the steps quickly. I managed 5 days with it before it was nerfed. Lunas was nerfed all the way to a 140 by the time I got it. Let me play around with RDM’s a little longer please. As for invis Hunter, I played that from way, way back. First they took away radar, then invis itself became a blobby mess you could easily see across the biggest maps and you showed up on radar if you sprinted. I think they only recently buffed spectral blades to make it useable so before that you had the worst PvP super of almost any class. Not to mention nerfing smoke to the point where it’s a barely troubling light mist (yet still the only powered melee option). Now invis is a little more “invisible” and it needs nerfing again?

        • They can't really nerf invis without making it bad, so that'll be interesting to see, but I'm guessing it doesn't get hit much. They can't really nerf Redrix into the ground because it's a comp weapon. It's kinda supposed to be good in pvp. I'm guessing it's another frame nerf. I'm guessing these are more small changes. Hopefully enough for a lot of people as we know nothing will ever be enough for many. Hoping for RDM/OTP nerfs as opposed to invis, but we'll see.
