Hello! I am currently running last wish raids for my clan to work towards the Rivensbane title. A common roadblock for two of my players is the dreaming spectrum shader not dropping. Originally, I threw this up to bad RNG and simply told them to keep playing. This was 4 months ago, and it hasn't dropped at all for them IN ADDITION to the other 4 fireteam members at the time. Before craftable weapons, the shader would drop commonly on curated rolls and we would even get the notification that it dropped for us, even if we had the shader previously. That has not occurred since the craftable weapons update for last wish. This is when I began running tests for data to see if it truly was an RNG issue. The data is that out of the 100 raids ive studied both before AND after (200 total) the update. Before the update the odds of a shader drop were about a 10-20% chance with it being guaranteed on a curated roll. The odds after the update have dropped to 0% entirely. I already own the shader, however my clanmates and I assume many others do not. A reason I see this issue as going under the radar is due to the lack of people attempting Rivensbane AFTER the update and even more specifically never ran it before the update. That pool of people is very slim but still significant. Attempts to reach out to bungie have been met with, "RNG sucks lmao." I wish to raise the alarm for bungie to fix this issue / or if unable, give the shader to all thru some sort of reward, as no one cares anymore about the prestige of a shader that they don't even fix the cheese for. Sorry if that paragraph sounded salty, I am just frustrated on behalf of my clanmates and those who are being ignored by bungie. I hope this message finds SOMEONE who can have the pull to make the changes needed. To further continue the data, please leave a comment if has anyone gotten the shader from a recently dropped weapon from last wish OR has your drop rate been similar to what I have expressed above. Nothing but love, KHish <3 EDIT: SO UPDATE! after a bit of testing, finally got the shader to drop. Here is how it is currently dropping. The shader is ONLY dropping from armor/weapons from secret chests (not including the morgeth glittering key chest). This means you have 6 chances total per week to get the shader. An issue from the data collection was we never collected the chest more than 1 time since we didnt bother with alternate classes, therefore bad rng made it seem like it wouldn't drop from it. I'm hoping this info will help someone get the shader who might be stuck where we have been. The shader is still bugged in terms of it dropping from encounter loot, but it is still possible to get by collecting the 2 secret chests per character each week (featured raid weeks do not let you farm the secret chests).
