What if Haunted Sectors Were Better?

The Haunted Sectors are sorely lacking. They are designed as a quick hurdle to jump through for a small sprinkle of loot. They are a task, a chore. They are designed to be quickly burned through for a quick, but tiny payoff. Aside from some very specific rolls that aren't really very unique and a new shotgun frame, the rewards are a little dull this year. So what incentive is there to run it if someone has already completed all quests and have all the rolls they want? There are plenty of other activities in the game that are focused on being loot sources. We desperately need an activity that's designed just to be fun, with loot feeling like a bonus. Haunted Sectors can be fixed up or replaced with something better. Imagine playing a spooky Halloween activity in Destiny where the goal is to actually have fun, but you also get loot from it! Imagine wanting to play an activity in Destiny just because it's fun and not solely because you're grinding for loot or quest progress. This game needs this and the Holiday events are the perfect chance to do just that. We need less throwaway loot hurdles and more fun, engaging activities designed to be replayed for enjoyment. The Haunted Sectors are currently just so bland, they are borderline glorified waiting rooms. You just join, stand and wait in some circles while mindlessly clearing your way through trash, then get your tiny sprinkle of loot, and that's it. There's nothing unique or innovative about them. They are too monotonous in their current form. They feel like they were designed as an obstacle for the player to overcome to earn loot, rather than a fun activity designed for the player to enjoy and be rewarded. Honestly, alot of the game feels this way now that I think about it. Save FotL! (Day 7)

  • The real question is what if bungee could be better? You know for them to do what is best for the community and not what is best for their wallet or egos to satisfy other people who don't care if the game still remains or the company bungie dies. Just remember the problem is not destiny 2 the problem is the company their management. Even Luke Smith the director of a lot of expansion content over the years and who was a department lead for vault of glass when it was first made in destiny 1 In 2016 he said that bungie has shitty management. This interview is when he confirmed that destiny one was rebooted 16 months before release because of a lawsuit. Same thing happened to destiny 2 2017 that's why the launch was so rough they practically redid the entire destiny two project because a director left the company. There has been multiple videos covering these topics over the years. https://gamerant.com/destiny-2-reboot-rumor/ Yes it was rumored but back in 2016 it was constantly mentioned and confirmed by other sources that the information may had been true but bungee kept it off the books! It's not the first time companies try to do that do bad decisions that can be seen as criminal to cover their own -blam!- by either denying information or firing hordes of people.
