I'm not usually very critical of Bungie, but this is a pathetic lie.
Just reading the update news and noticed this... [b] "We noticed that players felt Lost Sectors were useful, but disliked the fact that they couldn’t enjoy them with a fireteam, so we moved the faction tokens from the destructible items to the chest at the end of the activity. The destructibles will still be featured as a daily milestone and are still available to help your fireteam clear out the Lost Sector."

This is a sad ass lie period. They didn't like the fact that during the last faction rally, people simply destroyed the items for tokens and farmed to the max number of packages without having to mind numbingly complete the useless sectors every time.
If they wanna make this change to try and keep people playing longer, that's what should be said, not this sad ass lie about wanting to do sectors with a fireteam. Like whose ass did they even pull that out of. Not even a good lie for christs sake. smh. I'm sure I'm like many people who wont even bother to touch this faction crap after the first one anyway but damn Bungie, grow some -blam!-ing balls and tell the truth...

5 RepliesWhen I read that, I thought: No ... you just want people to play the game the way you want them to play. I thought the same thing when they killed the loot cave and nerf the engram drop rate in D1. Like ... Destiny is a quasi MMO ... accept it ... players farm. That's a part of a loot game. Farming. Why dictate the rate and how players farm. Did you guys hear about a possible cooldown on exp gain? I really hope that's a bug because if not.. WTF

8 RepliesThe point is the rest of the fire team didn't get credit for you shooting a box. I'm not sure how this is an issue with you. The hidden sectors is easy as hell, run in super boss and grab loot. Easiest thing in the game. what are you mad about?

How about 'we noticed people didn't like the fact that after 30 faction packages they only got our shitty consumable shaders so we've removed the limit on packages' You know, something people [i]actually[/i] complained about?

I thought the exact same thing when I read that lol, I was like “c’mon, y’all know it’s because people were farming them”, show me the people that were complaining because they couldn’t do them with their fire team lol

One small truth though is the fact we can't go in with 4. Trail/crucible teams size up to 4. Raid to 6 even and neither of these teams can walk side by side on any planet. So yeah we want to go in as a team... other than that... I am not very happy with D2 at the moment. Just happy with the people I can play with

1 ReplyI don't think that it was a lie, personally I enjoy playing with my friends, but running through a lost sector with friends durin faction rallies reduces the efficiency. That was a real complaint amongst by friends

Don’t know how Bungie came to this conclusion. Assume it was based on focus groups and surveys as it wasn’t a string theme in this place or reddit. You can’t be certain it’s a lie as the data source may have just been unclear. What is certain is it doesn’t match with your experience or that if your circle of friends.

Who ever thought lost sectors were useful? Also, who is going to bother with the faction rally again knowing that dead orbit is going to win? They could offer a forced character deletion if they win, and people would still mindlessly flock to them. Cruddy scratched up black/white shaders oooo.
