1: it's something to do during content droughts (like this summer)
2: as a collector it's nice to have them all
3: those spawn animations are very cool IMO
4: get all 3 on each character and you can then have a faction cloak on, no matter what faction you're working with
5: I'd much rather have all 9 faction items and 200 resources left than not have any faction exotics and just have 1000s of coins and motes (if I have the resources, I might as well use them)

If your that bored, try playing something else for awhile :\ Or you could try to get into some end game stuff, like raids.

Done all the raids wayyyy too much, plus that requires getting friends online or a team together. I'm looking forward to horizon dawn this summer! But for now I shall just hand out on destiny or play league
